1965 Plymouth Belvedere II
1965 Plymouth Other Description
Up for sale is this beautiful American Mopar muscle car!!!
1965 is the year most say the best looking cars were ever built and this Plymouth Belvedere II is a great example of that. Two door, hard top, and beautiful lines make this classic a real head turner. Always been garaged and never seen a rainy or snowy day!!
Original big block with a three speed manual on the column, this black beauty now sports a very healthy Super Commando 440ci big block and the bulletproof 727 torqueflite automatic transmission. Both engine and transmission have been previously rebuilt to stock specs with better than stock, quality components and parts. The440 and 727 are out of a 1972 Dodge Charger that was running before they were taken out, disassembled, machined and overhauled. The rear differential is the original 8 3/4 with 742 third member, 3.91 gears, and Sure Grip!
This Mopar is a looker as well as a driver and is very dependable around town or on longer highway trips. Suspension has been modified for a very aggressive with lower stance up front and high tail rear and that's also thanks to the Weld Racing Prostar wheels. Has never given me any issues and has never let me down. Starts right up with just the bump of the key and engine runs/sounds flawless. All windows roll down and up with ease. Suspension is brand new and feels great down the road!!
Doesn't miss a beat!! Although the Belvedere is 52 years old, this bad Mopar still drives like a much newer muscle car. That's because there are over $3k worth of parts that have been put on in order to bring the car up to today's technology. Everything from brakes, suspension, steering, engine, and drive trainhas either been replaced with new parts, rebuilt, or serviced to bring up to specs. All that means is that you can enjoy this beauty without having to worry about leaks, smoke, weird noises, or vibrations!
On the outside, the paint is a semi-black that gives a lot of attitude and attention to this hot rod! Body work has mostly been done with the only exemption to the rear bottom quarters. Inside, all panels have been replaced and the two bucket seats from a newer year Plymouth for ride comfort. Also have the rear bench seat that was taken out to give the Belvedere an old hot rod racing look!
All glass is original, as well as all trim, bumpers, grill, and lights. There are a few Mopars out there from 1965 that are in such a great shape to that of this Belvedere II. Still has the original duct work for heater and ventilation. No wrecks, no rust or damage on frame, and mostly all issues have been resolved. This is a very solid Mopar, with solid floor boards, solid trunk, and very solid K-frame and frame structure!
This is a get in and drive Mopar that can be driven to and from restoration shop for a continuous improvement orleft as is and enjoyed on weekends or car shows!! Most important of all work to any classic car has already been addressed to this one. Won't be dissapointed with the drive and feel of this old Mopar. Puts an instant smile on your face and definitely puts you back in your seat when the accelerator pumps gas into the fire breathing big block!!
Here is a list of brand new parts that have been installed within the past couple of weeks:

With all of that being said, it should be known that being a 52 year old classic that although, has been very welltaken care of and worked on in order for it to run and drive good, it has not been fully restored and does need certain things in order to bring it up to show quality. There is some smallrust on both rear quarters, turn signals aren't hooked up right, paint finish is in fair condition, and interior needs headliner. The pictures tell the rest of the story!
This is a no reserve auction with a super low starting bid!!! Clean and clear title in hand!!!
Any other questions just ask and I'll do my best to get back as soon as possible. Also have a ton more pictures and can possibly take more of certain spots that you might like. I can also take a short video of start up or engine running!
