1971 Plymouth Duster Twister, 360cid, 4-speed, 8 3/4 Rearend
1971 Plymouth Duster Description
Re-Listing: Lower "buy-it-now". Low reserve price!!! Need to sell.
1971 Plymouth Duster Twister, Originally a 318, 3-speed manual, Now has 360 (rebuilt with mild cam - less than 2K miles on rebuild), new block hugger headers with new exhaust, Edelbrock 4bbl carb, A833 4-speed, 8 3/4 rearend, sharktooth grille, nearly new tires and wheels (15"rear, 14"front), superstock springs. New tubular front upper control arms with new ball joints. Front end just aligned.
The car is in very good condition. It starts right up, runs and drives very well. This car would be great for the 2017 Hot Rod Power Tour in June.
NO RUST. In the past I patched the lower quarters and installed a new trunk pan. The remainder of the car has always been rust-free. Paint is about 9 years old (always kept in garage) but was touched-up and re-clear-coated in 2013 when I replaced the trunk pan. Subtle metal flake has been added to the orange painted areas. Overall, the paint is good driver quality and really gets noticed.
The interior is decent with new carpet. The stock dash now houses all digital gauges. I have installed a custom keyless ingnition system with push-button start. There is a new Radio/CD player with speakers in rear deck and front kick panels.
I have owned this car for 11 years and have really never driven it much. However, I have spent a lot of money and time making it what it is. There are many other finer details - too much to list here.
