1967 GTO hardtop- matching numbers Needs restoration
1967 Pontiac GTO hardtop Description
This 1967 GTO was owned by my friend Steve for 30 years. It was a daily driver for some time until he began the restoration, and was kept in dry storage. Unfortunately he passed away before the work was completed. It is originally silver with black vinyl top, and parchment interior. It is a matching numbers car with the 400 engine and the TH400 transmission and a/c, power steering and power brakes. The drive train appears to be unmolested. It has rally 2 wheels with new tires. The metal work has been started and the the quarters and tail panel has been installed, and mostly completed.. The majority of the metal work to be done is to the rear deck between the back window and the trunk panel, and the roof . The trunk floor, and floors seemed okay, but I only had access to the car for a short while.
I did an inventory of the parts, and everything seemed to be there. I didn't see the dual gate console, but I suspect it is in the owners attic. Although I was not given a chance to start the car, everything appears to be in place per the factory and the car looks like it would start right up.
Rear end is most likely non safety track 2:56 or thereabouts.
You will most likely need a trailer of rollback to pick up the car. The car is in Jupiter, Florida 33458 and can be viewed locally.
