94 Formula Firebird NASCAR Winston Cup Daytona Gatorade 125s Official Pace Car
1994 Pontiac Firebird Description
Took it on a 125 mile trip recently. Reason for listing, garage space. Have other like vehicles. Car shows, cruises, and parades have begun! There aren't many permanently bolted/mounted Whelen strobe light pace cars with decals that are able to be driven/licensed for the street. Most pace cars are "modified" with non factory parts and can only be sold on a "scrap" title. This is not a factory replica i.e. 500 or 1,000 factory made, in fact, I haven't seen another 94 Formula like this. Might be 1 of 1? This car comes with a clean/clear title & can be licensed/tagged. According to GM this car was delivered to Coggin Pontiac-GMC in Jacksonville, Florida. The actual car that paced the 94 Gatorade 125s was a red Trans Am. The races were won by Ernie Irvan & Dale Earnhardt. I purchased a couple photos of it from Daytona Speedway & was told by them that GM/Pontiac used other vehicles over the years for track display/marketing /promotion etc.. I have a photo of a 1993 poster of a red Pontiac Firebird that states it was the Official Pace Car of Nascar, along with a media guide as well. It has a custom stereo system in it that includes a detachable faceplate, remote, eq, amps, as well as small round speakers on either side of the windshield. Has dual exhaust that sounds real good. I also have an owner's manual, car cover, 1994 Daytona/Gatorade book, collector cards, hats, shirt, pin, programs, race ticket, & Dale Earnhardt/Mark Martin/Tony Stewart autographed jacket. A regular 94 Formula retails over $9,000. My reserve is many $100s less than that, which I think is very reasonable given the condition & rarity/uniqueness.
