2004 Pontiac Vibe Description

Hello, tire kickers. This is a relisting of my all-time favorite vehicle. Over 200 folks saw this the last time; sixteen were "watchers" but no one ponied up a bid. Normally, a relisting is at a lower price. I'm not normal: this car is well worth the upset price. If you don't bid on it, it's your loss.
In the Spring of 2004 I went to my local GM dealer to look at the then new Cadillac SRX. I wasn't impressed. But right next to it was a Pontiac Vibe. It looked nice, felt nice, and you didn't feel like you were sitting in a hearse.
I wanted side airbags and I found a model that had them; the only problem was that part of the package included the "Moon and Tunes" option. "Moon and Tunes" offered a moonroof and an enhanced radio.
The car is also equipped with all wheel drive. At the time I lived at the top of a hill. To be extra sure of winter traction I bought studded snow tires for all four wheels. Sure enough, as soon as I did that, there were relatively mild winters; the most travel the tires had were going from the mechanics' to the house in December and back to them in March. This was what I called, "a lifeboat car" so it didn't get very much use. Three years later we moved to flat land and I sold the tires to a nice fellow from Pennsylvania.
Now in 2016 I think it's time to say farewell to this nice vehicle. Did you know that if you slice a 4x8 sheet of plywood down its length, you can easily fit it in the Vibe? Gas mileage is pretty decent, too. I've had new 215-55 tires put on the car at 50,000 miles; all fluids replaced by a GM dealer about two years ago; any recall items have been attended to with the exception of the airbags, which GM is still befuddled by. The oil was changed at 67516 miles (about a month ago - also by the dealer.)
