1971 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400
1971 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Description
I'm the second or third owner of this car. Originallysold in Gainesville Florida at Tropical Pontiac. I purchased in 2000 (16 years ago), currently has 118,650 miles. I did a full restoration including rebuilt motor at (30 over) numbers matching engine, including carburetor, alternator. transmission is from a 74 Pontiac, M21. 373 rear axle. Ram air manifolds, Pypes ss exhaust and muffler.
Way to much to talk about. Feel free to email me at paulrexford @ hotmail.com or call at 321 295 4102.
Car has many rare options like deluxe interior, less console, power door locks, power trunk, rear window defrost ( the type with the element in rear window, 1st year offered). Rear bumper guards. Car has many NOS parts like front bird emblem. I have the PHS, this is a rare car and with its options, its probably even rarer.
I bought this car for pleasure and personal experience, spared no expenses and always looked for OEM parts. Comes with 3" binder with all receipts, photos for restoration (over $26,000). This car was used in NPD front cover of their magazine and still in some of their ads today!
Car drives good, ac blows cold, shifts good... maybe some minor miscellaneous things to really operate perfect. Im just not driving it anymore. Last time i drove it was to Daytona for the Turkey Rod Run, 2015. Since then, only pulling it out of garage on occasions to start motor.
I will only list this car twice here. After that, i will take to Old Towne Kissimmee and the next Turkey RodRun to sell.
