1969 Pontiac GTO Description

Very rare car with just over 2000 convertible 4 speeds produced in 196, but this one is even more special than that. This GTO was built in Baltimore Maryland at the Broening Highway Assembly Plant and then sold to the first owner. I purchased this car from his estate 2 years ago (so I am the second owner ). I have lived in Maryland all of my life and my family even worked at the Broening Highway Plant back in the day (which closed years ago). Its amazing that this survivor has never left its birthplace and my family may have had a hand in building it ! It is all numbers matching and has had one repaint (I don't know how long ago) in the original Crystal Turquoise color . With the White Top and Parchment Interio, it presents a stunning combination. Obviously well kept and garaged all of its lif, this GTO retains an amazing amount of original part, including the 47 year old Fisher Body floor pan, in a Convertible ! And of course the complete drivetrain from the 400 cubic inch 350 horsepower engin, Muncie 4 spee, and 3.55 positraction rear . The 4 speed still has the linkage that locks the shifter in reverse through the steering column. The Parchment interior is mint and still retains the original black dash pad and factory installed AM radio. The window cranks are origina, the clear knobs turning yellow with ag, how great is that ! All of the stainless trim is in excellent condition . Even though this is a street driven ca, the chassis is very clean as the photos attest . This beautiful GTO has many desirable options : power steerin, power front disc brake, power to, rally gauge, tilt whee, hidden headlight, positraction rear and rally II wheels . Everything works as it shoul, still has original T-3 headlamps ! I try to describe my cars on the conservative sid, but you could search for years and may never find another GTO like this one. I encourage you to contact me with any questions you may have .
Bidders with zero feedback will be cancelled unless I approve in advance.
Happy Bidding ! Mike

I will add details as I think of them . Look at the factory gaps between the fenders and door, they are the best I have seen on a convertible. The spare tire and jack are missing.
