1972 Pontiac Lemans Sport Convertible, 350ci GTO Endura Nose,Needs Restoration
1972 Pontiac Le Mans Black Description
I have a Complete: Factory Original 1972 Pontiac LeMans Sport Convertible with Bucket seats and Floor Console car. The Original Drive Train is: Turbo 350 Automatic, 350ci 2 Barrel Engine,10 Bolt open Non Posi rear end. The Lemans Sport has a (T41) {GTO Nose} Added onto it over the years from the prior owner. This is a Non AC car. It has factory power disc brakes. Power Steering. This Pontiac Came from the Factory with Exterior Color: Monarch Yellow and a Black Interior. This is not in Running Condition right now! The Original 350ci Motor Is Locked up from Sitting many years and not properly stored! I have tried to free it up with no luck without taking it out from the car and disassembling it! I have another Good Recently rebuilt 1973 350ci paired up with a good Turbo 350 Tranny that is Very good running removed from our other Convertible that we are throwing in on this deal being the uncertainty of the existing Original set up! The Frame of the car has rusting but is straight and overall usable but in need of a repair on the back rear drivers side rail underneath the trunk section that rusted through, The overall body of the car is in restorable condition and can be brought back to a driver once again with some work just by switching the drive train! This Pontiac Convertible has a very solid Cowl/Windshield area also the rear pinch well area is in Good solid condition. The Rear Qtrs have rusting on there lower sections and the passenger side one appears to have been replaced at some time ago with a 3/4 panel done by previous owner. The Doors have lower rusting from time sitting and the Front fenders have lower rear dogleg rust but are straight and worthy of using. I am also throwing in two other decent 1970-72 doors and two 1971/72 fenders that need work also which one is a T41 Gto option vent opening. The trunk lid that is on the car is in good condition also. The Unkinked T41 GTO Hood with it's nice hood inserts is straight and solid with the exception of on the very front top center has rusting started but another original part that is nice enough to use and will be even better with some work. The underside of this rare hood is solid! Never kinked as I mentioned! A Good solid Original front GTO valance panel that is missing both parking lights. One 1971Gto Grill pictured on the car and the other Drivers side is missing. The Front 1971/72 T41 Endura Bumper is in Good Solid Straight Condition!! The Radiator support was replaced also over the years and is in very good Solid Clean condition! The rear bumper is straight with tailights but the Drivers side has a chipped lens, The Convertible top frame is straight and decent with the exception of the front bow piece is rusted and probably will need to be replaced. The Original Convertible Top pump/lines/Hydraulic Cylinders are all there and seem to be good. All factory glass is in nice shape! I Have most of the chrome trim and it also is in decent Condition. The interior is very decent for it's age and that the car has sat for almost 20 years now. ! The dash is cracked but restorable, There are the Original Decent bucket seats with the drivers one has been ripped and the Passenger is Nice. It has it's Original Factory Floor Center console and stock 3 speed P.M.D Shifter. that is in great condition. The Poncho has 15" Rally II Rims on it that are all straight and solid just in need of repaint. This car will need to be Towed/Flatbed Hauled but It does roll and steer's with no problem but does not have the brakes working and the emergency brake does hold. Ther is No exhaust system with the exception of the original good manifolds and the flanges for the engine pipes. This baby has a lot of good Original Bones Too it!!!! The Body/Trim/Interior parts are worthy to use toward another GTO or just worthy of restoring! Remember This car DOES NOT RUN and is a Project. Remember also!- I am throwing a Good Running-1973 Pontiac 350ci motor and 350 tranny that is in our Convertible that is a running combo and It can be heard and seen still in the our 1969 convertible now. I will pull the set up after the sale so it will be ready to go with the car! I only have a CT Bill of Sale which is all the State of CT requires for a car this old for legal sales in CT. I also have the PHS doc's that I had researched for this Pontiac. Please!!!! feel free to ask all questions before making offers! No Disappointments with what is here for a Convertible Pontiac Muscle Car that has Potential in the right hands! Not for the Week at heart restorer! Thanks '
