'68 Pontiac GTO Convertible, Solar Red, Great summer driver!

This factory Solar Red, White Top, BlackInterior Pontiac GTO convertible.She presents as a factory stock driven show car, a fine older restoration that has been driven on a limited basis. Showing 77,215 on the odometer, it as been mechanically restored and recently serviced. The power convertible mechanism, including all the hydrualic cylinders have been replaced. The current owner purchased the car as a gift for his father who drove it on sunny top down days,spending most of the timescooping the loop as well as taking the occasional parade lap.With dad no longer driving, she spends most of her time looking cool in a climate controlledgarage.

The paint shows the normal wear of washing, detail and waxing, and is in overall very good condition, most would consider this car a "10 footer". The only significant flaws are hairline cracks onthe endora bumper nose, typical with GTO's equipped as such.

Panel and body gaps are even and consistent through out the car. Both doors line up well and close with minimal effort. The convertible top operates as designed, seals well with side windows and rear quarter windows. Chrome and bright work are also in very good condition, light swirl marks and cazing consistent with a car that is driven and enjoyed. All the window glass is in good condition, likely original to the car.

The interior is largely orignal and intact, carpets and front seatcovers were likely replaced during restoration. Door panels, rear seats, dash, andinstrument bezels appear original. Everything works.

The engine bay is clean, stock appearing with normal wear consistent with a car that driven on a periodic basis, such as dicoloration of paint on the heads and exhaust manifolds. The engine is a 1973 datecoded engine block, built to stock '68 specifications.

Undercarriage is clean, floorpans are solid, finishedin the correct GM black. No concours trailerqueen, this iscertainly a car that is meant to be driven and enjoyed.
