1967 Pontiac GTO GTO Description

1967 Pontiac GTO Sport Coupe

Lowered Reserve!

You are bidding on a true 242 Pontiac GTO Sport Coupe (post car). Only 7,029 of these cars were produced. This one is in fantastic driver quality condition. Here are some of the highlights:

Rebuilt 428 motor with less than 1k miles. Block # is 9792968 with a YH suffix code. It was used in 68 & 69 applications in 360, 370, 375 and 390 HP options. It is paired to a M22 rock crusher 4 speed transmission that runs and shifts great but would probably recommend a carb cleaning for better fuel delivery.

Power steering and brakes

Hurst shifter

10 bolt posi rear end casting # 9795084 which appears to have come out of a 69 GTO. XH code which is 3.55 gears.

Hood mounted tach that works great

Dual Exhaust

New carpet, seat covers, door panels, headliner, sill plates, dash pad and weather stripping around the doors.

The car was repainted last year and looks great but does have a few blemishes that are included in the pictures.

Cragar SS rims and Uniroyal tiger paw GTS tires with excellent rubber

Floor pans are in excellent shape with no rust. Undercarriage is very clean as well.

Things to note:

I’ve noticed the right front tire rubs when backing up and cranking the wheel. It has actually bent the edge of the fender (see pic). Would recommend an alignment. I have the chrome rocker molding for below the doors but they’re not in the greatest shape so I didn’t want to put them back on the car. Front bumper chrome is in great condition but the rear has some scratches. Missing front seat belts.

I’ve described the car to the best of my knowledge. Please ask questions before bidding. Winning bidder to pay a $500 deposit at auction end and the balance due within 3 business days. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. Good luck bidding!
