1997 Pontiac Grand Am SE Description

1997 Pontiac Gran Am SEwith updated audio and extras
Selling my baby (feels more like putting up for adoption...lol). I have had this car 14 years (I am the 2nd owner) and have loved owning it. Everyone thinks she is a V6. It has pleanty of power and not only drives great, but it looks pretty darn good too. Especially for being a 20 year old car. Original paint (some chips/flakes). I was going to 'drive the wheels' off of it and then buy another car in maybe 5-6 years but I got a bug up my bum and went car shopping recently. I am not selling this because there is anything wrong with it. I just can't reason having 2 cars.
Cruise control, Auto headlights, fog lights, Front wheel drive, 4 cylinder 2.4 litre, dual overhead cam, Automatic transmission, Anti-lock brakes, traction control, upgraded audio, optional pontiac removable ash tray
Well maintained. Oil changed every 5k miles or less
4 brand new tires (less then 100 miles on tires- I was going to keep the car)
New headlight bulbs and headlights (made a huge difference. Installed 2 years ago)
Newer (from most recent):
Fuel pump/sending unit
Brakes and rotors, Brake line
Catalytic converter, Exhaust and muffler
Heater core
Horn assembly mechanism
Spark plugs, Air cleaner
Alternator
Window regulators, Window tint (50% front/35% rear)
Upgraded Stereo System:
Detachable face, Remote control, Streaming Blutooth w/hands free and mic, HD radio, CD, Aux jack, USB, iPhone controls, 2x Rockford Fosgate 6"x9" rear speakers, 2x Boston Acoustic 6" door speakers, Amp w/2x 6" base tubes (sounds great but it isn't annoying)
Includes: Touch up paint for the car/ wheel covers/ trim & mirrors, Interior plastic/dash repair kit, Sun shades, 1g Pontiac specific Coolant, extra mud flaps, ALL manuals/paperwork, Chilton's manual, HID headlights w/ballasts (never installed), Pontiac CD case, and other things I am sure I am forgetting about.
Car runs great. Approx. 25m city/30m highway. 13.5g fuel tank. Never leaked any fluids. Engine compartment is extremely clean. I have always taken very good care of this car. Treat it right and it will treat you right in return :-) Let her warm up on cold days (should anyway).I still drive this car on 3 hr trips with no worries. Regular fuel system cleaners have been used to keep her running tip-top especially when I took her on the longer trips.

It will need to be inspected but it should not need a thing.I have always been very proactive with replacing items before it was an issue. Should be emissions exempt if bought/titled in Pa I believe. It is less then 5k miles since the last inspection.
This is a vey good car that runs excellent, handles very well in the snow, has lots of pick up (engine is no where near tired), and has been extremely well maintained.
*when the fuel pump was replaced 3 years ago the sending unit didn't read proper. I got in a big dispute with Rockhill Auto and they totally screwed me over and didn't stand by their work. The fuel gauge works butdoes not read properly but isn't a concern. It does get 330 miles to a tank max. I reset the trip with each fill up and fill at between 280-300 miles when I am city or combo driving. NEVER go to Rockhill Auto for any work. Cigarette lighter does not work but stereo has a usb port. A few plastic/interior cracks from age but repair kit is included. Back seat has a few marks from hot ash burns but nothing major. Passanger side window regulator is slow but has been that way ever since it was replaced. The paintunder the bra held moisture due to the bra. It isn't apparent unless you remove the bra and I did seal it to prevent rust. There is NO body rust that I am aware of. I have most of the reciepts for everything (I can't locate the folder with the fuel pump replacement) and all the manuals for the car are present since it was new, including the manual for the new head unit.
