1967 Pontiac Le Mans Description

Up for auction is a perfect start to your Pontiac GTO/Tempest LeMans project plan! This is an original Tyrol Blue Metallic car, Medium Blue interior, column-shift WITH bucket seats (kinda' cool), non-vinyl top, built right here in Northern California's Fremont plant (V.I.N. doorjamb plate reads 23717 7Z129343, with "Z" indicating the assembly plant) Doesn't get much better than that!
This car is a rolling body/chassis with no engine/transmission, as the GM LSx that was planned for the car has been sold to another Pontiac enthusiast (build was detailed out in Pontiac Blue Metallic, various "Pontiac" logo components, very cool. See pic'). Still have a rebuildable 1974-vintage 455cid bare block and 1986 GM 200-4R automatic overdrive transmission/converter available for a little extra money, totally up to the winning bidder. We went the GM LSx route, very strong combinations and lots of aftermarket support.
The body is what matters most (and can cost you the most) and this one's in good overall shape, lots of normal dings/dents/creases/etc. from almost 50 years of being on the planet, but no shocking suprises. This 67 Le Mans looks to have only one? repaint, still features its original "GM Red" primer underneath (if you know what that means, then you know how rare that is to find, no "13 different '70's Laquer resprays" here!), trunk floor is one of the nicest I've seen, inner wheelhouses, inside-trunk tail light "ledges" and floorboards are VERY nice too (area under the tail lights on these cars ALWAYS has rot), no trunk lid included (available from the aftermarket, appx. $160), does come with rust-free 1967 GTO 'dome' hood (nearly $500/shipped nowadays from various aftermarket vendors) and two (2) O.E.M. GM LeMans flat hoods, in case you want to add a GM-style cowl hood to one of 'em. Both doors close nicely, front windshield and rear window areas have the usual rust on the lower ledges, roof has some rust spots, both quarter panels have dents/dings but luckily not the usual heavy rot-out in the lower-rear that you see on 85% of GM A-bodies of the era, both front and rear bumpers are included, O.E.M. dash instrument panel and glovebox door are there, rear axle is the original B.O.P. 10 bolt, frame is solid with no rot-out and looks to have never been hurt, also both Tempest LeMans-specific tail light assemblies are included. Vehicle title is out of the D.M.V. system and is a super-simple "Bill of Sale" situation, which usually costs the least. All parts mentioned come with the car, plus any related 1967 Pontiac trim/moldings seen in the pictures, although I'm not interested in piecing-out any of it at this time.
