I have owned the car for nearly 20 years and it has been either garaged or under a carport with a cover.
Mechanically:
The car starts, runs and drives well.
There are some electrical issues such as a loose wiring harness that goes down into the block and some issues with the wiring harness throughout which affects the lights on the car. A new wiring harness would fix those issues.
The exhaust pipes behind the exhaust manifold will need to be replaced eventually as there is a small exhaust leak up towards the front of the car that can be heard.
There is a slow oil leak that looks like it is coming from around the oil pan, likely needs a new oil pan gasket at some point.
All fluids have just been replaced as well as new air filter, oil filter, battery, and tires have less than 150 miles on them.
I replaced the carburetor 3 years ago with a 750cfmEdelbrock 4 barrel.
Aesthetically:
Cars original color was gold ext./ gold int. In 1998 I had a body shop paint the car a medium blue with metal flakes. The body shop I used did not complete the highest quality work as there is paint that has cracked on the Endura Bumper, some chips on the black hood scoops, and they did not paint around the water channels of the trunk and engine compartments. (Gold color can still be seen).
There is also some small scuffs in the paint throughout the car, and one small dent above the driver side rear wheel well.(See Picture with circle)
The car looks to be rust free except near the front divers side wheel. I had a new tire put on back in 2000 and the shop over-inflated the tire. It blew while I was driving and a piece of rubber hit the body of the car causing the paint to crease and flake off. The rust looks to be superficial. (See Pic)
Also up in the wheel wells, rust is just barley on the surface of the metal. (see pic).
In the late 90's, I redid the interior from gold to black.
Everything in the interior is period correct except for the steering wheel and the shifter.
The Dash was fully stripped and remolded by Just Dashes in California back in 2012.
The interior is missing head rests but I have the hardware for them.
There could be some small chrome pieces here and there to finish the rest of the interior fully.
The driver side window is missing a bolt that keeps it from sliding forward and backward in its track while rolling up.
I replaced all the weatherstripping throughout the car 3 years ago.
Overall this car is in good to great condition. It always turns heads and everyone loves the color combination. The 400ci engine has a ferocious sound even with the exhaust leak.
In my opinion, this car is at a perfect crossroads. It is still mostly original and could be restored to factory making it a trailer queen. It could easily be modded to a touring or drag car, or with a new wiring harness, would be a great daily driver.
I have made all efforts to list everything about the car that I remember... Please feel free to contact me about any other questions you may have.
