1995 Pontiac Firebird
1995 Pontiac Firebird Description
Up for sell is my 1995 Pontiac Firebird.
THE GOODThe car has a custom paint job which I think looks great. The car sounds awesone. It has pace setter header, a new high volume flow catylitic coverter, and a MagnaFlow exhasust. The speakers (six 6.5 speakers) were all replaced with alpine and have an independent amp. The doors, floors, and trunk were lined with dynonat. I've taken out the head unit and sub and sold them, but put a new head unit in and you'll be very pleased with the sound.
Added high output coil pack and wires. All engine sensors have been replaced. The heads have been cleaned, surfaced, ported, and flowed.New adjustable suspension added in the front.Newer clutch and pressure plateEtc.Having a summit store nearby was a bad influence.
THE BADThe car does not currently run.
I put the car out of service in 2015 to change the rear main seal. I'd observed a leak one day when starting the car and after further inspection found that water was getting into the oil. The engine was checked and still holds pressure fine so I assume I caught it right away.
It ran great before the work was began. Unfortunately I have moved out of state and don't have time to finish the job. Currently the transmission is dropped due to the seal replacment. I could probably have it running in an hour but there is no point until the work is completed.
The car also has some scratches and rust. The scratches aren't bad but there is rust along the bottom edges of the car and in the engine bay. I'm not sure just how bad it's gotten since it's been sitting but want you to be an informed buyer.
