2003 Pontiac Montana Extended 8 Passenger Mini-Van
2003 Pontiac Montana Montana Extended Description
2003 Pontiac Montana
Pros:
- One owner
- Last summer, replaced 4 transmission solenoids, transmission fluid, lower control arms (both sides), bushings and ball joints, power steering fluid flush, front end alignment
- In the past 2-3 years, I replaced the head gasket and intake manifold gaskets. The cylinder heads were pressure tested for cracks and none were found. They were machined before re-installation on the engine block. Performed a coolant flush and bled the brake lines. Replaced rear drum brakes and shoes, replaced rear shocks with height adjustable air shocks, muffler and resonator, front wheel bearings, serpentine belt, inner and outer tie rods, spark plugs and spark plug wires, front brake pads and rotors
- 2 in class III trailer hitch
- No check engine light.
- My wife was driving it up until December 2016, when I bought her a new car.
- Changed oil every 3K miles.
Cons:
- Power going up steep hills is lacking. I have no idea why.
- Rear wiper doesn’t work.
- Passenger side sliding door power unlocking mechanism sometimes won’t work, but can be unlocked/opened manually. The power sliding door works.
- Typical dings and dents for a 13 yr old vehicle.
- Rear bumper cover has a hand sized hole, see photo.
- Some rust under the car and rear rocker panel.
- Last summer, the AC had to be recharged with leak stop refrigerant, but I don't know if this was a permanent fix.
- Leaves oil spots on the driveway.
This van is being sold AS-IS with no warranty. Buyer MUST obtain your OWN license plates after the sale or must tow vehicle. My plates cannot be used after the sale. I once sold a car and allowed the buyer to use my plates to drive home, it was a costly mistake.
The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup. Local pick up only, no shipping. |
