1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula Rare 1 of 346 Built! The "HOLY GRAIL" of 1979 Firebirds!
This beast was ordered new at MIckey Miller Pontiac in Wadsworth OH in October of 1978.As all Pontiac Firebird experts know, this is a very, very rare car. I have only seen a few for sale over the past decade. This car is a "Z: code L78 W72 220HP PWH NUMBER"S MATCHING motor paired with the Borg Warner Super T10 4 speed manual transmission which is matching numbers as well. Original G80 Limited Slip 3:23 disc brake rear end. Also has the WS6 handling package that was mandatory with this engine package as well as the W50 striping package. Do not miss this opportunity! This Formula has awesome documentation including build sheet, PHS documentation, reproduction window sticker, dealer order album, etc.

The Formula has been refinished in it's original, beautiful Code 51 Sundance Yellow paint with accenting Code 16 Charcoal lower paint. over original standard Code 19 Black interior. It has all new striping and weatherstrip as well. Brand new Year One reproduction 15" x 8" wheels wear like new Dayton Daytona SR tires. All new exhaust system with new correct splitters, All gauges work including the clock! Even the key buzzer still works! The Following items have all been done within the last year:New Paint

The car runs excellent. I have driven it on multiple 6+ hour trips over the past year. There have been several questions about the underside of this car. The floors, frame rails and trunk are all solid with minimal surface rust. The underside of the car has not been detailed as I do not have a lift. I can send pics to anyone interested and will try to post some later. The interior is all original except for headliner and carpet. there are no cracks in the dash. the driver seat bolster has some wear that would need fixed and the steering wheel shows wear as well. I chose not to do either as it was all still original.
