Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this exceptionally nice and documented 1978 Trans Am with only 33,620 original miles. The market on the 1977 and 1978 Trans Am's is absolutely red hot right now and this example is priced to sell. Very low mileage and original examples of the second generation Trans Am's are especially difficult to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. This Trans Am has had only two owners since new and everything on the car works. The low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured below, showing the mileage as "Actual."
This Pontiac looks outstanding, runs great, and is an awesome driver. I have personally put over 50 miles on the car and during that time it was completely reliable and a pleasure to drive. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Trans Am that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combination of Chesterfield Brown (69) with Gold decals over Camel Cloth interior (62B). This is the correct and original color scheme as verified on the trim tag and window sticker, both pictured below. Please peruse all of the photos, video, and other information below to get a true sense of clean and nice this Trans Am really is.
There is a wealth of original documentation that comes with this Trans Am. Most importantly to verify all of the highly sought-after and rare options, a copy of the original build sheet is included with the car and pictured below as well as the original window sticker. Also included is the original owners manual, the original invoice from August of 1978, the dealer copy of the all the options ordered, odometer statement from Schappe Pontiac when the car was sold new showing it had 19 miles, the warranty book showing the original owners name, Goodyear tire booklet, the 1978 Pontiac Maintenance booklet, the rust prevention (undercoating) warranty sheet, the 1978 Pontiac Consumer Information booklet, and even the small original tag that hung off the hazard light switch when the car was new on the showroom floor.
We purchased this Trans Am from the second owner, which is verified by the accompanying documentation and paper trial. According to the previous owner, he purchased the car from a retired Air Force pilot named Gove Cline, who was the original owner. Mr. Cline purchased the car brand new from Schappe Pontiac in Madison, WI. His name appears on many of the original documents including the invoice from Schappe Pontiac and the original warranty booklet. Mr. Cline owned the car from 1978 until 2013 when it was purchased by a gentleman in Ohio. There is a Bill of Sale signed by both Mr. Cline and the buyer here in Ohio, and noratized, dated August 1, 2013. That Bill of Sale notes that the car had 32,682 miles at that time. The gentleman in Ohio owned the car from 2013 until this year when we purchased the car from him with 33,563 miles. I personally drove it home and then back to our dealership so the car now has approximately 33,620 miles on it.
As a side note, this Trans Am is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Pontiac, just give us a call.
