1999 Pontiac Grand Prix (detailed condition info in item description)
1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Description
I have a 1999 Grand Prix GT for sale in Greenville SC. It is in good shape, and it runs, but unfortunately this week the transmission went out. So it is for sale to someone who wants to have that fixed or can fix it themselves. I had it looked at at Aamco Transmissions on Mauldin Road, and was told the transmisson needs to be repaired or replaced.
I found others on Ebay selling used transmissions that would fit this car for as low as $250. Then you'd need it installed. Anyway, it was my fault for not realizing the transmission fluid needed to be filled. It never had any problems before this and has been a very reliable, and attractive sporty looking car.
If interested please message me to handle sale in person. I will be more likely to lower the price if I don't have to pay Ebay too (text 864 567 8388).
With the purchase of the car I will provide a free tow to your home, or a maintenance shop (within 100mi).
It's four doors, 3.8L V6 engine, with a clean title. I haven't allowed anyone to smoke in it.
I think I am only the second owner, and I have taken care diligent care of it. It has 147,700mi on it.
Its powerful. I already miss the power, and the stereo, compared to my new car. I'm sad to see it go.
When its freshly washed the paint still has a nice shine and looks great (like the first pic)! The paint has some minor scratches, and a couple small chips, but nothing big, or noticeable from a distance. As you can see in the other pics its ready for a wash.
The upholstery is light tan and has no major stains or tears.
It has a working alarm system.
Bose speakers
Modern stereo with radio, CD player, AUX port, USB port, 6 programmable buttons, and display lights of your chosen color.
Stereo also has removeable face (with case), and remote control, and is XM sirius satelite radio ready.
I still have the original box and manual for the stereo.
Steering Wheel Radio Controls
Excellent A/C and heat!
Cruise Control
Working wipers, fog lights, headlights, tailights, brake lights, and interior lights.
Power rearview mirrors, power windows, power locks, & power seat.
Sunglasses holder and separate garage control holder, both on ceiling.
2 cigarette lighters.
Its a spacious. It has a roomy console, glove compartment, and trunk. Middle back seat opens to trunk.
Adjustable steering wheel
Spare tire
Six bonuses:
-Free tow
-Extra $25 off the price to get it washed and vacuumed.
-Brand new pack of chrome looking screws/fasteners for front license plate.
-Car air freshener spray
-A quarter tank of gas.
-Remainder of my spare antifreeze. My new car takes a different type.
I also have the maintenance records on it for the last three years I've owned it. It's had a fluid check and oil change every 3,000 miles. My father is a mechanic so not every oil change is documented, but many are.
-Last oil change was in 4/2017. It is due again now.
-It had new front and back brakes towards the end of 2016 (at 139,706mi). Still feeling good.
-It had its tires rotated at that time as well, and got new rear caliper bracket pins.
-It also received a new set of driver window switches and window motor. I have receipts on those with a lifetime warranty if anything happens to either.
- It got a new windsheild in 2016.
-It received a new front-valve cover, and front valve cover gasket in 2016.
-New tires in 9/2015 (still under warranty for another 27,119 miles). Still looking good. Regular rotations.
-Alignment in 9/2015
Other things to know:
-No accidents. Closest thing was when my front bumper barely tapped someones back bumper when they swerved into my lane and I slammed on the brakes but couldnt avoid them entirely. But there was no damage, and no marks on the car.
-We think the coolant indicator light may have an issue because the light wants to stay on even though the coolant is full, and fine.
-The drivers side rear window just stopped working.
-When I replaced the factory stereo the steering wheel controls no longer operated it. Best Buy said for another $100-140 they could get the part needed to make it work again and install it.
- It does come with a keyless entry key fab. The unlock and trunk buttons work but the lock button is finicky.
*I took the fab for my new car (also not working) to Batteries Plus Bulbs (on woodruff) and they got it working after replacing the battery and sodering it inside (for only $10). I'd do that with the one from this car if I were you.
I'm asking $2,200 since everything other than the transmission is in such good shape, and it has so many features. I paid much more than that just 3yrs ago. Please email or text if interested, thanks!
