1988 Firebird Formula that i started building a long time ago and have run out of time and money due to kids and family obligations. This hurts me to sell, but i'm hoping to find a good buyer to finish off what i started and almost completed. This was originally a 305 TBI car.
WHAT IT HAS:
MOTOR
-350 4 bolt main out of a 70s era pickup bored .030 over to a 355
-Wiseco forged flat top pistons
-Block/heads were fully machined and decked prior to engine build by A-Team Speed Shopt
-Motor was built by a local shop called P&R (which is now close)
-Harland Sharp roller rockers
-Holly 670cfm Street Avenger Carb
-Edelbrock Intake
-.430 Comp Cam
-HEI Distributer
-MSD Spark Plug Wires
-AC delete (blower is not mounted and i think i have it but not 100% sure on fit or function)
REAR END/CHASSIS
-Ford 9"
-Moser axles
-4.10 gears
-Detroit Locker
-Powdercoated by LOCO performance powdercoating
-BMR Panhard and lower control arms
BRAKES
-Wilwood Calipers and Drilled Rotors on the rear
-Vacuum Res For Brakes
TRANS
Original 700r4 w Transgo shiftkit
INTERIOR
-Seats out of a 4th Gen
-Have a spare dashpad that does not have the crack on the corner
-T-tops
BODY
-Was repainted and has some small sags in the clear that should be able to have block sanded
-Some rust on the passenger door and door well and wheel wells and a small bubble on the drivers A Pillar
-Underside has been fully POR'd and any rust patched
-One section of the underside of the car (passengers bucket) that was dented when i got it. Not sure if it bottomed out or was a result of a bad jacking but doesnt affect the seat or seat mount and didnt break through, if you look hard enough in the pics you can see it
-Passenger fender is not original, body line is ok but not great (as you can see in the pic), was like this when i got it, not sure what happened to it
TIRES
-Futura Z Rated 245/50s. They do have a slow leak but i was able to drive on them but not making any promises. When Pep Boys mounted them they put the front on the rear and rear on the front and they got a cut in them.
EXHAUST
-Edelbrock headers into a cheap muffler to a dump but i do have the 3" catback with a flowmaster that i will include, but there is not cat now so some intermediate pipe will likely have to be added
WHAT IT NEEDS:
This car did run a few years ago but some wiring was too close to the headers and burned (as you can see in one of the pics), this should be an easy fix and that is (to my best knowledge) is what it will take to get it running. After that it will need to to be tuned and bugs worked out as they arise. One of the bowls was flooding so that will need to be adjusted and then work out anything else that may or may not come up. Like i said, this is an as is car and was something i got running but got too busy to do the fine tuning once i did get it going and i ran out of time and money.
I fully believe this will be a perfect car for someone that wants to finish buttoning up what i got close to finishing, but i'm not at the point where i can and i dont see a time when i would so i'd rather someone have fun and this not be a sitting duck to get damaged in my garage.
I have some spare parts and glass that i will include as well
