1970 Pontiac GTO Description

You are bidding on a very nice and clean 1970 Pontiac GTO This is a true PHS-documented 1970 GTO. This is a TURN-KEY car with a gorgeous look, 400ci motor, TH400 transmission, PS, PB, A/C, buckets and console. EVERYTHING WORKS, even the air conditioning! PHS documentation comes with the car. Options in addition to the air conditioning include power steering, power disc brakes, bucket seat, center console, dual exhaust, stainless gas tank, Rallye wheels and automatic trans. This car is super-solid! Runs and drives beautifully! TURN KEY…fly in and drive this one home!

This is a rare muscle car that’s in very nice condition with all systems working beautifully! A true muscle car that runs great, and even has ice-cold AC! This GTO was a Hard Rock Rocksino Feature Giveaway car that was won by an older couple who decided to sell it.

The 400ci motor and 400 trans are not the original to the car but it has that authentic look. The Cardinal Red paint just glows and the added Judge stripes complete the look of the iconic GTO Judge.

The Body: is in great shape and is super straight with no major dings or dents! Gaps look very nice too! It had a high end repaint during a partial restoration several years. Being an older restoration it is in super condition still! Body looks to be original with some minor cosmetic work performed to the body. I don’t see evidence of panel replacement or patches. Rockers and trunk drop offs look to be original and so do the quarter panels. The car was repainted the current Cardinal Red and the paint job was professionally done with great depth and has that Mile-Deep look. The paint is still very nice and shiny with no runs or sags and has a nice deep wet look. Being an older paint job, it does have some minor flaws, a few chips here and there that were touched up but nothing major. Again no major dentsscratches or swirl marks. It’s respectable but no longer a concourse car because of some of the paint flaws. Some restoration to these areas would make this car a show-winner again! Barring that, the rest of the car is in beautiful shape! The chrome, stainless and brite work pieces are in great shape with just the minor aging from sitting. The door handles are original and in shiny condition but they do have pitting. The weatherstrippings are almost all new throughout the car. Windshield and glass are all in good condition with no cracks or delimitation. Back window does have some sanding marks from a DA. Rear bumper is in great condition, nice and shiny with no pitting.

The Interior: is in exceptional condition! No fading, rips, tears or issues. Seats and carpeting were replaced during the restoration. The door panels, console and dash still look great! Could use a detailing to bring out all the beauty.

Headlights, marker lights, directionals, horn, radio and HVAC controls ALL WORK! All the dash gauges and instrument lights work. All the windows, doors, locks, hood and trunk operate as they should.

The Drivetrain: components are NOT the original units it was born with. The engine is a 400ci 4bbl that starts right up and runs beautifully smooth with no noise, smoke or even leaks! It was rebuilt during the restoration but there is no paperwork or any information on what was done during the rebuild. The Turbo Hydromatic 400 transmission runs and shifts great and was also rebuilt. This muscle car runs great, shifts fine, steers where you want her and has good brakes.

The Undercarriage: is in super-clean original condition. No scale on frame or rusty floor pans. Frame, trunk drop-offs and rockers are all original and in super-solid painted condition. Floors pans look real clean and are free from rust and scale. There are a few patch panels as pictured (rear passenger floor, around the console and trunk floor pan) but nothing horrible. The stock-appearing exhaust system is in really good condition. The 15” B.F.Goodrich tires are in great shape with lots of tread and the Rallye wheels look great and complete the package.

Other info: The car is an older restoration and has had a couple of owners who drove and enjoyed it. It could use a whole car detailing to bring out its beauty. It’s not perfect but can be enjoyed as is or with minimal investment restored to its “Like New” condition.

Comes with 1 sets of keys and clear Ohio title clear Ohio title showing 20,151 ACTUAL miles with the odometer showing 20,151 miles.

Factory spare tire and jack are in the trunk.

No trades.

I realize that it is difficult to purchase a vehicle you may not be able to inspect in person. I build vehicles too – so I try to show you everything I would want to see if I was buying a vehicle for myself. As you can see by my feedback (100% positive), I describe my vehicles accurately. I have sold other vehicles on eBay to happy buyers worldwide so you can be confident when making a purchase.

I have made my best effort to accurately represent the car based on my expertise as a vehicle builder, what I have observed in evaluating it and preparing it for sale, and what I have been told by the owner, but this is the extent of my knowledge. Please ask questions before bidding! This is being solid AS IS with no warranty or guarantees and is up to the buyer to verify any and all info listed above in the description! This vehicle is also for sale locally. You are welcome to arrange a viewing of this vehicle. Again, this is a classic vehicle that has been driven and enjoyed. It’s not perfect or a museum piece so there may be minor imperfections in the body, brite work and glass. Anything to note is listed above.

Vehicle must be paid in full before it leaves my premises.

Insurance: I highly recommend that the buyer put insurance on the vehicle upon purchase as I am not responsible for any damage incurred after leaving my premises.

Good luck and happy bidding!
