1966 Porsche 912 Description

Very nice Porsche Factory built (not Karmann)early1966 912 in its rare factory Gulf Blue color!Mid '65 production with early four screw horn grills, washer bottle on passenger side and non adjustable struts as only the early cars have. This was a 3 gauge car from the factory, the previous owner added the two outside gauges to make it look newer, before the 3 gauge cars were all the rage! This is an easy fix, I have been quoted about $1,000 to make it back to factory 3 gauge again, can talk about that with a serious buyer. The factory ivory interior is a great combination and very original except for the carpet (fresh) and rear panel. Seats, door panels, headliner, gauges, steering wheel and batwing are in very good shape and are factory original!Lots of recent service work includes oil change and valve adjustment, Solex carb rebuild, all new brake rotors, pads and lines. Also was upgraded to 911 dual master cylinder for much safer braking system. Brand new SACHS clutch kit installed with flywheel surfaced at the same time.
New window seals front and rear and both pop outs.
This car presents and drives very well and is desirable unique color combination that you rarely see in the Longhood market. 5 speed gearbox shifts well. Koni shocks on all four corners. The original floors and front suspension pan are all in good shape, no accidents or issues (please see photos).Chassis number 351289, Engine number 1080307Over 50 photos PHOTOBUCKET GALLERY HERE: This car shows very very well so if you see anything that looks like paint chips or blemishes in the photos, they are not and are simply reflections of something. I do not have a COA. If you call Porsche they will look up the vin and confirm this car is factory Gulf blue, etc although it may take them a couple days to get back to you.SERIOUS ONLY, please check with your wife first and be ready to buy if you're contacting me.Will assist buyer with meeting a shipper or in any other way I can. Some larger photos below
