1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible 2-Door 3.2L
1989 Porsche 911 Description
First off I know next to nothing about Porsche's. My best friend was a mechanic and Porsche award winning service tech, we were going to build it together then he passed away suddenly and I am out of my element. When I bought it it was running shifting turning stoping fine but had an engine knock. It was parked and that is where I came in to the picture. He pulled the motor and I took it apart to find the culprit, it was a spun bearing. Luckily no damage to the crank that we could see. The motor is approximately 55% apart, just what was needed to be taken apart to inspect. Now that Steve is gone I decided to simply sell the car. It is rough, worse than the pictures show. The Turbo body panels are steel not fiberglass. There is cracking at the seems of the body panels, the rear window is bad same for carpet some of the leather weatherstripping etc. I would say this restoration is not for the faint of heart, if you have any sense run to the next auction now!I do not know the history of the car other than what I have already stated. I do believe it is a numbers matching car and will be glad to retrieve any numbers that you need from the block or transmission. It does look like he replaced some interior parts and the front air dam has given it's life to fun driving. I do have a clean title in my name and will assist in loading the car and the parts but shipping is completely the buyers responsibility and cost. I offer no warranty expressed or implied, the car is sold in as is condition. You are welcome and encouraged to come see the car in person before bidding, the deposit is non-refundable if you change your mind so be sure before bidding.
