Chassis 307975S was completed in April of 1967, equipped with an electric sunroof, rear window wiper, tinted glass, heated rear window, fog lamps, Blaupunkt Kln radio, passenger headrest, and Dunlop SP Tires. Wearing Hellelfenbein (Light Ivory) over black vinyl upholstery, this highly optioned 911S was sold through VW/Porsche Salzburg to Bernhard Blank of Zrich, Switzerland. Well known in enthusiast circles, Bernhard Blank was one of Porsche's earliest patrons. In 1947, he loaned Rupprecht von Senger 50,000 Swiss francs to place orders with Ferdinand Porsche for the company's first completed automobiles. In 1948, Blank encouraged Porsche to hire Swiss coachbuilders Ernst and Fritz Beutler to develop their cabriolet model. Later that year, Blank became the official Swiss distributor for Porsche and, in March 1949, he presented a Gmnd coupe and a Beutler cabriolet at the Geneva Motor Salon.

The car would remain in Europe until the mid-1980s, when it was sold to Michael Taradash of Riverside, Connecticut, who commissioned the factory Porsche AG to perform a complete restoration of the 911 between 1984 and 1986, refinishing the car in Irish Green with tan leather interior that has an amazing patina. Mail correspondence between Taradash and the Porsche Repair Department discuss the vehicle on Porsche letterhead, followed by several pages of invoices for the work performed. Mr. Taradash then took delivery of the car at the factory, before a driving tour of the local region. Astonishingly, the entire paper trail from insurance coverage, travel to shipping and importation accompanies the 911, including the German tourist plates still mounted on the bumper. In August 1986, the Porsche was shipped from Germany to the US, and in late December, Mr. Taradash sold the car to John Roe of New York City. The 911 was used a weekend runabout to the Hamptons until 1989 when the Roe's purchased a new car and the Porsche was garaged in the Hamptons and retired from road use in the early 1990s.
Recently uncovered after two decades of static storage, a meticulous detailing of the car has revealed beautifully mellowed cosmetics applied by Porsche to pair well to freshened original mechanical components and powertrain. A freshly completed major service included the removal, disassembly, rebuild and reseal of the numbers-matching engine. It has received all new bearings, seals, gaskets, studs, nuts, springs, tensioners, guides, resurfacing and honing of the heads and cylinders, new oils lines and rubbers, rebuilding of the intake, charging and ignition systems, cosmetic renewal of the finishes, new oil tank, new exhaust system, a new clutch, flywheel and bearings. The entire braking system was also addressed with a complete rebuild of the S' exceedingly rare calipers, new discs and lines. Emergency brake and shifter linkage components renewed as well. Proper Michelin XZX tires were then mated to the car's 67S-only lightweight Fuchs to complete the package.
