Hello,
Upset to let this beauty go, but it’s just getting too expensive to store a car here in downtown Boston, MA.
I bought the car a few years ago from a very reputable / picky individual who buys and sells cars as a hobby. I am a watch dealer / collector myself, so I understand the importance of quality and I am very snobby and particular buyer. In my search for a car I wanted something that was VERY clean and in as original condition as possible.
This Porsche has plenty of service records (from me and previous owners). I have so much paperwork, even including one of the original sales receipt from 2002. The prior owner also knew where the car came from personally. He let me know that the prior owner's garage was so clean you could eat off the floor! The car has never been driven in snow and has barely been in the rain (at least here with me in Boston 100%). Always garaged. Always clean and taken very good care of. Routine car-washes and maintenance etc.
What I really like about this 996 is that it really does not look like one! One of the previous owners put a small front spoiler, added Eibach lowering springs (Porsche recommended), as well as a FabSpeed intake (Porsche recommended) which gives this porsche such a sexy howl. It really sounds like a $100k car. Nobody can ever believe me it is from 1999. This is a great opportunity to buy VALUE. There is nothing of this quality on the market at this price point.
The leather interior is all original and in excellent condition, no rips or major flaws. The original carpets are clean. The tan leather is full of life and luster. I LOVE the color combination. The black on tan is sharp and a very desirable. I had a iPhone AUX wired into the console, instead of changing the original tape deck :) The sound quality is great.
The exterior paint is original, I had it paint metered at Porsche of Fort Myers just a few years ago. One of the mechanics told me over the phone “it was one of the cleanest 996s he has seen in the recent years. “ This is the first year of the water cooled so someday, it could become very collectable.
The soft top was replaced by the previous owner right before I bought it. It is not faded, the color is dark and bold, the motors are new, and it works perfectly. I also have the original hard top that goes with the car. This is a major plus!!!
Not sure where the wheels are from, but they give the car an awesome modern look.
I have not had even 1 single issue with this car. Not 1 !! So reliable and very fun to drive.
I have plenty of pictures of the car, inside and out. So many service receipts. I have the PPI from Porsche Fort Myers from 7 / 2014 which I did all the optional serviced that they recommended right before I bought the car. This car is CLEAN. It comes with 2 keys.
The car was serviced by me by a local shop called European Car Doctors in Boston. If you look them up online, you can see that he is a pro and a Porsche collector himself. He has seen tons of these! He also commented on the cleanliness of the car.
I will have the car professionally detailed before we send the car off.
Please feel free to ask me ANY questions. I am an honest seller and have plenty of feedback globally.
Title is in hand and is of course clean.
I have a Drop Box of plenty of images.
