1960 Porsche 356 Description

Here we have a 1960 Porsche 356 Roadster project, chassis #87415. Included is an unstamped replacement engine with a blank case (see pics). This Roadster left the factory in 1960 in striking Slate Gray over red interior, as can be confirmed on the pictured factory Kardex report. It's currently in primer, and while it has had a good amount of restoration work done, it still needs a full restoration. New floors and a new battery box have been welded in place, please see pics. There will be more rust repair to do, including but not limited to the longitudinals. Seats are rare non-reclining seats with boomerang hinges, only found on Roadsters and Convt D. Included is the top frame as pictured above. The car includes only what you can see in the photos.

In 1960, a Slate Gray over red Roadster was likely the most beautiful car sitting on the showroom floor. Imported to the States by the famous Max Hoffman, this car began its driving life with real history. Roadster projects are scarce. Don't miss the chance to bring this amazing example back to life!

The car has a clear title and is ready for export.
