I have spoken with Porsche North America and here is the real deal: The Carreras/Engines that were affected per conversation with Porsche North America on 10/20/16 were manufactured from 5/4/01 to 2/20/2005.
This car was manufactured on 5/23/2005 which is stated on the Porsche certificate of authenticity. There was a class action lawsuit that was settled on 7/17/2013. This car is a stunning car and one to own for life.FUN TO DRIVE AND OWNThis truly is an amazing car! The color combination is superb. A 2 owner car with all of the books and records of service by Porsche since new! Just changed the oil with Mobil One. Car has a professional pre inspection that passed with flying colors. New battery and starter (with lifetime warranty). Runs and drives like a new car. No IMS bearing issues. Had a new clutch put in by Porsche 20k miles ago. That being said this 48k mile car is the one to have in your garage.
