1999 Porsche Boxster Description
Up for sale -
1999 Porsche Boxster. Details first..then the story. 145k miles on chassis. Engine rebuilt at around 100k miles. The previous owner had a water pump go at 100k miles and whatever damage ensued caused him to have a rebuilt engine put in. At the time they also put in a new clutch and water pump. The work was done by HD Auto in Kernersville NC. They are great to talk too and remember the car, but getting them to email me a copy of the paperwork on the work has been a challenge. You can call and discuss it with them. There is another receipt in the ones provided by HD Auto with their contact information.
As you see it here is what has been done since I bought it in May. Link to maintenance records and receipts at end.

As seen this Boxster has the Aero Kit installed and Turbo 2 Style Rims. Those two options alone are over $3500. The full suspension refresh was about $3200. New tires a month ago was $520. HID upgraded headlights. Top has some wear marks, but no leaks and window has no cracks. You get the point. There is nothing else to do but enjoy it. I took detailed pictures of everything. A few minor issues I would have tackled next. Refinish the leather seats. Fix the small dent/rust area below the turn signal by the drivers side front wheel well. Replace for a second time the cheap rubber lip that runs under the front bumper ($25 on Amazon). This car runs like new. Feel free to take come see it, take it for a PPI whatever. Title in hand.$14000
More pics via email or text if you'd like. Limited to 10 here.

The story - my Dad passed away last year. My Mom preceded him. He taught me everything I know about working on cars. He owned a Porsche 356 after he got back from the Korean War. Working on this thing in the garage restoring it was a cathartic connection to him. Using his tools...the whole deal. Anyway, I love the restoring and fixing part and will probably buy another Boxster in a year or so to do the same. This is my second one. I do have a Durametric Enthusiast cable I may throw in depending on how we do on negotiating.
