1980 Porsche 911 SC Description

Offered here is my very nice and very well sorted 1980 Petrol Blue Coupe.
Completely rebuilt motor after discovering 2 broken head studs at last valve adjust. See attached photos of motor parts: Machined heads, New bearings, ramps, chains, oil pump, rods, Mahle Euro spec pistons and cylinders, reground camshafts, and rebuilt tensioners with safety collars.
Case professionally cleaned and crank spec'd and polished. All rod bearings plasti-gauged and came in at a consistent .0015. Cam timing is set at factory recommendation of 1.55. Car pulls hard at 3500 rpm and runs wonderfull. Motor is very tight and is properly broken in. The motor has under 1000 miles on it and the filter and oil has been changed 3 times during the break in process. All exhaust system parts, heat exchangers, cat, blasted, cleaned up and all new bolts and nuts installed.
New clutch and flywheel. New turbo tie rods, CV joints freshly packed with grease .Everything deep cleaned. No greasy gunky mess anywhere.
The CIS (continual injection system)has been completely gone through with all new injectors, new intake boots, new plugs, plug wires, rotor and cap, green signal wire, linkage bushings, New Auxiliary air regulator, new Warm up regulator. New fuel pump and filter . There are no air leaks in the system.
915 Transmission shifts up and down smoothly and has fresh gear oil. All shift linkage bushings replaced. Shifts into 1st gear while rolling. Synchros are all good . No grinding anytime whatsoever.
Very nice original black interior, no dash cracks. No seat tears. Seats are in excellent condition and very comfortable. All glass seals are new throughout and the headliner is freshly redone to its original ivory white color and material. The carpets are in good shape. There is one small hole worn through on the driver side carpet mat in front of the gas pedal but barely noticeable. Sunroof has new hardware and operates smoothly. The front windshield is new so there's zero pitting. The AC blows cold and the aftermarket radio works and sounds good.
I had the car professionally resprayed because of too much oxidation and blemishes after 36 years for my tastes. Original paint is great but I wanted it to look new.I have extensive photos of the entire paint restoration. There were no dents, no rust and no bondo prior to start, just too much 36 year old "patina" My painter has 30 years experience painting Porsches, and Glasurit was used. The body was completely disassemble, bumpers valances, mirrors, fenders and rockers, deck lid and hood removed .all rubber seal, threshold rubber removed. Its a quality repaint and done right.
All trim is polished aluminum and the door handles were stripped and polished. New H4 headlights with chrome trim rings and the polished Fuchs wheels tie it all together very nicely and give it a vintage look.I have the original sugar scoops freshly painted as well in Petrol blue. I have around a quart of paint left for future touch up that will come with the car as well.
I bought the car with no documentation from the previous owner as it was lost and I did not do a PPI. However I do have all receipts, and documentation for the improvements listed and pertinent to the current condition of the car. The motor has over $8,000 in parts alone with receipts. The trip meter in speedo photo reflects miles logged on new motor.
No accidents, zero rust. .
I built this car for me and went way overboard on fixing it up money wise. I've decided to move on from it as I just cant financially justify driving it. My State farm ins agent assured me that the car could be designated as classic and and valued at 55K in the event of an accident or theft. This is a beautiful car and I'm sorry that my photos really don't do it justice.
I've decided to keep my 88 Carrera which is a decent driver and I have way less money in it.
This is a very nice car and will just require the right buyer. Someone who appreciates the time and money put in to it. It adds up quickly.
Thanks for looking,
Scott
