1989 Porsche 911 Targa
1989 Porsche 911 Targa Description
1989 Porsche 911 Targa with under 93k miles. Car runs and drives great. Both engine and transmission are strong w/ no issues. New center caps w/ original two-tone Fuchs wheels. Targa top has been recovered and is in great condition. Other than typical scrapes and chips from rocks (from hood), paint is in really good condition with no oxidation. Crack-free dash. The car doesn't need anything immediately.
PPI was done on 10/26/16 and the following was noted by the Mechanic: + Weak hood struts. Replace as needed (front). + O-ring around fuel cap is cracked (due to age). + Front wheel bearings need service - left side is loose; right side slightly loose. + Oil pressure sending unit is leaking @ pipe + Brake fluid ok for now. Will eventually need a flush. + AC not blowing cold. (Very common for 80's-era 911).
Some future projects I have noted if I was to keep: + Repaint bumpers and front hood (chips / scrapes). + Run new speaker wire supplying driver's side. Wire is currently kinked at door, therefore no sound on driver's side. + Recover front seats in leather. Currently covered in vinyl. + Front hood closes and seals fine, but needs small adjustment for perfect alignment. After doing some research, this appears to be common for 80's-era 911.
