2006 Porsche 911 Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first and opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S. I will start of by saying that I've put the last 2,000+ miles on this car. It is a great driver. I would rate the exterior of this Porsche to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. It is finished in classic silver over black with matching silver interior trim, which is a good color combination. The finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. On this specific example, there is nothing noteworthy to report. It's clear that the previous owner took great care of this 997. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The Litronic HID headlights do an excellent job at lighting up the road at night. The original wheels have been upgraded with a set of lightweight OZ Racing wheels wrapped in a matching set of Continental's with good tread all around. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Porsche.

I would rate the interior of this 997 Carrera S to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. There are storage compartments in the doors, which is nice. The carpets are clean and show well throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean, too. The seats show minimal wear and are very supportive. Both front seats are heated, too. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The only thing I noticed is that the master window switch is a little temperamental...but it's hard to fault an older car for that. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works properly and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The factory audio system also appears to be working properly and sounds great. Again, pride in ownership shows throughout this vehicle. If you're looking for a nice driver, this car definitely deserves your serious consideration.

Mechanically, this Porsche appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.8L flat six starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. Under my care, this Porsche has had a major engine out service. She's had a complete tune up including new spark plugs and updated ignition coils. This 997 has also had the alternator upgrade already done, too. Additionally, my guy (who is a Porsche Certified technician) also saw some aging vacuum lines so I had him do all of that while the engine was out. Needless to say, she's had a fresh oil change and all new filters for everything. The engine makes great power and feels strong throughout the powerband. Low end torque is imperssive, yet she screams top end. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the manual transmission are smooth and precise. When the transission is cold (and only when it's cold), 4th gear scratches a little going in...but not badly. Again, it's hard to fault an older car for that. I would drive (and have driven) this Porsche anywhere without a second thought. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This 997 has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of April, 2017. If you're looking for a nice, clean Carrera S to drive, this one should be at the top of your list. The market is full of low mile garage queens for $40,000+ that are gonna drop in value like a brick the second you go out and put some miles on them. Take advantage of the fact that someone else already depreciated this car and save yourself a ton of cash. The next owner of this 997 is going to get quite a car for his / her money. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
