The "mid-year" Porsches of 1974-1977 have gained popularity among enthusiasts for their marriage of traditional Porsche character with uprated amenities - best characterized in this exceptionally striking 1977 Porsche 911S. Purchased new on December 1st 1976 from Tom Moser Porsche/Audi in Cincinnati, Ohio, 9117200763 was optionally finished in the rarely seen Oak Green Metallic paint over Cork Leatherette upholstery. It would reside in the mid-west for the majority of its life, until the late 2000's when it was acquired by an active caretaker in Lyme, Connecticut.

Within the last 5 years, 763 has received a significant amount of mechanical and cosmetic freshening. The original engine was replaced long ago and the car is now powered by a correct type 911/85 2.7L/157 HP flat-6 with K-Jetronic continuous fuel injection and 5-speed transmission. The Coupe was tastefully retrofitted with an earlier style 911 stainless exhaust system along with the removal of smog equipment, resulting in a much smother and cooler running engine - while the original system and smog equipment accompanies the sale. It is offered with extensive documentation and history that includes the original owner's manual and warranty booklet in vinyl sleeve, tool kit, German license plate and the all-important Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. A fantastic mid-year ideally suited to use and show as-is or an excellent base to mildly outlaw and have something special that likely no one else has!
