This vehicle was purchased from insurance auction withsalvage title. Auction said reason for salavage isflood butcar runs and drives. We took a chance and purchased it because recently we sold identical 07 Boxster S, also from insurance auction and also flooded (previous owner left driver window open and water got under the seat). Immobilizer got wet and car for got locked up. We just had to replace body control moduleunder the driver seat and car was running like new.
This one we hoped it would be a similar story but it turned out even better because there isabsolutely zero water insde this Boxster, plus it was driveablewhen we got it. We're not sure why previous owner filed a claim with insurance but he must have had a really good policyif they paid him. We inspected the car immediately and found zero traces of water inside. We think maybe it was parked in a dip and water got to wheel level, that's the only way we can explain it.
Everything in this car works, it runs and drives great, no problems on dash, no leaks, no noises. Car handles very well on the road, suspension is in very good shape, tires almost like new, good brakes.
Front bumper has normal wear and tear from driving, please see pictures for further details. All body elements are original, no signs of being repainted.
This model has factory upgraded bigger intermediate shaft and bearing (IMS). You won't have to worry about very well known IMS issue with this car!
It needs nothing, you will not have to fix or replace anything immediately after purchase.
