1995 Porsche 911 993 Carrera RS Clubsport Tribute build by TuneRS Motorsports
The original 993 RS Clubsport was built mostly for track use. They were never imported to the US for street legal use. Theidea behind this build was to recreate an RS Clubsport that could also be driven on both the track and the street. A clean, non-accident, Porsche 993 Carrera 2 coupe that was the ideal candidate for this project was sourced. TuneRS stripped the car to its bare galvanized metal frame and rebuilt her from the ground up. All Porsche Carrera RS parts were used so it can serve as a true Tribute to one of Porsche’s highly sought after limited production cars. Most of the original RS & Supercup parts are “unobtanium” so tracking them down was not the easiest of tasks. Every single component on this vehicle is an original Porsche genuine part.
In 1995 and 1996, Porsche set out to make a limited run of lightweight 911 Carrera’s. What they came up with were a short run of 1,014 993 RS models with very few of those being designated Clubsport RS. The 3.8 RS is considered by Porsche enthusiasts worldwide to be one of the best ever Porsche’s made. The original RS was based off of the Carrera Cup vehicles with the attitude of a race vehicle but street driven with some basic comfort. This is not your every day vehicle: it is a stripped down 911 with the bare essentials, lightweight, no headliner, lightweight glass, no radio, no power seat functions. The next step from a dedicated 993 Supercup race car. This specific RS Clubsport Tribute vehicle build is a combination of an RS 993 and Supercup, street legal. It does have carpet and some sound deadening added to it to give it some creature comfort but the feel and sound of the vehicle is unmistakable and sends a heart pounding adrenaline rush through your spine as you blast down the road.
This RS CS tribute project started in 2007 and had a final completion date in mid-2012. Since its completion, only a total of 467 miles have been driven. The vehicle has been shown at many local South Florida Porsche shows, and in 2013 took first place in People’s Choice and third in 993/964 concours de elegance at the Mandarin Porsche’s By the Bay event held by the Porsche Club of America.
Original 993 RS’s are becoming next to impossible to find, and the prices on the ones that do pop up will fetch over $500k in good condition.

This is one of those rare times you come across a real replica of a vehicle that was done correctly. The craftsmanship and detail that went into this vehicle is absolutely top notch. Up close it is almost hard to tell the vehicle is not a real RS!
