This Porsche 911 is the rare, desirable Millennium Special Edition (MSE). Only 911 Millennium Special Editions were built world wide. Each was individually numbered. This MSE is number 164 of 911 (as designated by a special plate located just ahead of the shift lever). Only about 300 of the MSE's were imported into the North American market. Rare!
All Millennium Special Editions were based on the Carrera 4 (all wheel drive). Each MSE was painted violet chromaflair (a color shifting premium paint that looks deep violet most of the time but has bronze / green hues in the right sunlight), given a full leather with burl wood accented interior and virtually every option available for the 911 in 2000. MSE's have understated "911" badging and come with special "turbo look" wheels. This car has a 3.4 liter, flat six, water-cooled engine with a 6 speed, manual transmission.
This car has a clean CarFax (no accidents), and a clean title. Car was a California / Utah car before I brought it to Florida (never registered it in FL). I strongly doubt that it has ever seen snow or ice. There is no rust on it thatI can detect. It has a recent California smog certificate with its original exhaust manifold. The clutch, IMS (Intermediate Shaft) bearing, transmission mount and rear main seals were replaced / updated only 3,332 miles ago. The new IMS bearing is a dual row ceramic bearing (excellent!).
There is one patch of rain water damage on the passenger side door leather. See picture. Also, one of thepassenger side seat controls is loose (still works ok). There is a tiny, tiny door ding on the left rear wheel swell. I couldn't get it to show in a picture. There are some small stone chips in the paint, but I have restored all of the air dams on the underside of the car. They always seem to get shaved off over the years. The car comes with the CarFax, an original 2000 Millennium sales brochure, a 2000 Christiforos magazine and aset of high performance (non-original) headers and a few other small goodies.
