1975 Porsche 914 Description

For Sale. 1975 914 factory matching number 1.8L, factory fuel injected car has a
Clean 1975 title.
This Porsche is solid & Has 138,XXX Miles on it.
It is Porsches' Summer Yellow.
From what I see, the Battery tray area looks good & not rusted out. The trunks look good & solid. Still has the original rockers & floor pans on this car that look good and solid. The Original floor mats are in good condition, The pictures show a rubber floor mat, which is on top of the original carpet mats.
This car appears to have had A/C at one time, I think it was factory? The tires look really good and were just rotated. There is less than 5k on them.
I just replaced the oil, oil filter and strainer with the correct gasket kit. I also replaced the oil filler gasket, cap, rotor, coil & air filter.
With all the correct gaskets now installed, it seems to no longer drip oil.
The engine could use a cleaning but is a good running strong motor.
The brake pads look good. It runs great down the road and a great highway car for sure.
The interior & carpet is all original. The heater works good.
The glass is all good. The seats look great and the dash doesn't seem to be all cracked up like they typically are.
It looks as tho it has been inside most of its life. It has the original manuals.
This is a nice original car, Which I do believe is a 2 owner car and had been traded between family members. Was originally purchased in Arkansas.
*This is a 41 year old car, so it is far from perfect but is a nice original.*
The paint does have scratches & blemishes.
The speedometer has just recently broke.
There is some bubbling in paint in a few places, It is missing the sunvisors.
The horn is not hooked up behind the cover, as it would go off while turning sometimes so it was just un-hooked.
There is some rust in door pillars.
The engine and undercarriage need a good cleaning.
Chrome wheel rings do have slight rust on them.
The rear trunk does not stay open, it needs 2 rollers & the clamps (it does have the rod / springs).
Even with these things, I feel like it would be tough to find a all original survivor / sleeper car that is untouched and in such good shape.
I was going to under coat this car but decided not to, so that you can see how nice of an original this car really is.
This car is very simple to work on and doesn't come with the high cost of other Porsche's.
This car is one of those cars you can drive and enjoy and do repairs at your leisure.
It is a fun, solid, great little car with a good amount of storage, it runs great and goes good on the highway plus it gets great gas mileage.

UPDATE** The speedometer is ok it is the cable that is needing to be replaced. Also the passenger side floor pans does have some slight rust through on a seem nothing major. Please ask for pics if you would like to see that. I have the owners manual with original owner info and location of purchase and some misc. receipts over the years on this car. Mostof these cars were modified with emblems, rear Porsche reflectors, sails painte, side markers removedand other misc. items, this particular car seems to be a good example of a original car. Happy bidding!
