1973 Porsche 914 Description
This is my 1973 Porsche 914 2.0. It is a matching numbers, completely stock, as it came from the factory vehicle. It has been repainted 20 years ago and could use some light work and paint now. It buffs out great as you can see in the images. The engine and transmission have been out in the last 5 years. It has all new seals, rebuilt fuel pump, stainless steel fuel lines and 30R9 fuel hose from tank to injector.
It has a new battery tray, but has some rust from battery corrosion below, as most of these cars do. But only on the battery side. Everywhere else is very solid. I have cleaned the battery area up the best I can at this time and put in an Optima Red Top battery.
The interior has new carpet, console and back pad. The seats should be redone. For now I have some very nice seat covers for them. It has the original radio and very nice stock leather wrapped steering wheel. As well it has new stock size tires. It starts and drives perfect and does not get hot like many 914 do.
I am the third owner. This 914 was originally purchased at the Porsche factory and driven around Europe for a few months before being shipped to the Southwest US where it has lived all of its life. I even have all of the original paperwork.
If you are looking for a really nice and solid everyday driver this is your car. If you are looking for a perfect 914 for shows, this car is an excellent start. With just a little work this car can be made to look like it was brand new.
You must arrange for and pay shipping or pick it up. I live right off I-10 near a Truck Stops of America. So truck shipping should be easy.
Please ask all questions before buying it.
