2007 Porsche Cayman S Cayman "S” Finished in Desirable GT Silver w/Black Leather Interior 3.4 L 6 Cylinder Engine, 6-Speed Manual, Subtle & Desirable Improvements / Options Original Paint, Very Well Maintained by Mature Porsche Enthusiast 34K Mile Northern California 2 Owner Car w/Clean CARFAX _____________________________________ HISTORY This particular 2007 Porsche Cayman S was manufactured in July 2006. It was sold by Sonnen Porsche, San Rafael, California on September 7, 2006 with 11 miles. The car was retained by this original owner until May 2015 at approximately 31K miles. Sonnen Porsche then sold it to the current and second owner who drove the car a few thousand miles and, as a result of business commitments and limited time reluctantly decided to sell the Porsche. The Cayman "S” carries VIN WP0AB29807U780443 with California license and registration. The current odometer reading of 34,998 miles (only 3200 miles per year) is verified as actual by the CARFAX report. Note: We are using the car on fair weather days, so the mileage may increase from this reading. This report also notes regular service by Sonnen Porsche (11 records, at all recommended mileage intervals and certifies a no accident history. With its low mileage, professional care, sought after options / color, and California heritage, this is an exceptional example of a 2007 Cayman "S.” THIS PARTICULAR PORSCHE CAYMAN "S” The base Cayman is very well equipped with standard fog lamps, heated power mirrors, leather seats, a trip computer, HomeLink, cruise control, air conditioning, and a CD player. The Cayman S adds dual exhaust, red brake calipers (w/Porsche lettering), power seats, and automatic climate control, and a host of other performance and "creature comforts.” In addition, this particular car was very heavily optioned as follows as given by the codes inside the Maintenance Manual cover: XCG = Aluminum look seat backs XMZ = Leather console XTV = Leather door panels 267 = Auto-dim mirrors 268 = Rain sensor wipers 288 = Headlight washers 342 = Heated seats 375 & 376 = 2-way electric sport seats 405 = 19” Carrera wheels 435 = Steering wheel 440 = Windshield antenna 446 = Wheel center caps 573 = Automatic A/C 575 = Luggage cooling 601 = Xenon headlamps 615 = Navigation DVD 665 = Porsche Communications Mgmt. (radio, Sirius/XM, CD) 670 = Navigation system 680 = Bose sound system 983 = Leather seats NOTE: Lojack added (Brochure / Owner's manual included) Installed 9/21/06 The original Porsche pouch contains the original manuals including: - Owner's Manual - Quick Reference Guide - Porsche Communications Management Manual - PCM DVD - Navigation folder & disc North America - Maintenance Manual - Two key fobs are included - XM Commander Satellite Radio User Manual & Installation Guide - Mobridge - Bluetooth Installation / instruction manual (installed at a cost of $997.99) The standard 3.4 L 295 hp S engine has been enhanced by the addition of an Evo intake (stock intake is included) and upgraded Fabspeed stainless steel exhaust system, resulting in an improvement in overall performance. The Cayman "S” has recently passed California's strict smog test. The original components are included with the car. It is important to note that the improvements are very subtle and with the exception of the beautiful exhaust system / tips, in no way alter the cars appearance. Additionally, they in no way change the cars reliability and are specifically designed by high quality companies to enhance the performance / drivability of the Porsche Cayman S. Specifically the following improvements have been made to the Cayman "S”: - Fabspeed exhaust: $1940.00 - Evolution Motorsports Air Filter assembly: $288.63 - Evolution Motorsports Pulley and Belt: $200.00 - IPD intake plenum $655.00 - World Pac throttle body and breather hose: $303.21 - Sharkwerks install software for EVOM350 & oil separator: $1518.66 - IPod / Bluetooth added $997.99 - LoJack & XM Satellite added Unknown Total for parts and sublet for Labor, not including labor by the: +$5,897.49 Professional mechanic / owner NOT: Not including cost of Satellite & LoJack Cosmetically the car is excellent and finished in what may be the most desirable optional paint color; Porsche GT Silver. The paint reflects the car's low mileage and ongoing detailing efforts. Body panel gaps are excellent with no signs of previous body damage and German precision. The Porsche is free from body damage including door dents, scratches and road rash (a 3M clear bra was fitted to the car when it was new to protect the vulnerable front end of the Porsche). The wheels are 5 spoke Carrera Classic with Porsche center caps. The wheels are free from curb rash and are fitted with optional Porsche center crests. The tires (4) were replaced by the Porsche dealer 4,000 miles ago with quality Bridgestone Potenza S-04 tires. Rears are 265/35R19, Fronts 235/35R19. Both the front and rear fascias are in excellent condition. There is a very small amount of light curb scarfing on the underside of the front fascia (significantly less than is typical), but totally out of sight unless the car is on a lift. All glass is excellent as are factory lenses / lights. The rear spoiler functions properly automatically raising at higher speeds and lowers at 40 mph. Dual stainless exhaust tips add a beautiful touch in addition to a wonderful exhaust note and, as with all of the improvements, the best components were utilized. In this instance a cat-back Fabspeed stainless steel system at a cost of $2,000.00 (not including installation labor). The all black interior is similarly excellent with factory optional heated, leather sport seats, leather center console and door panel parts. The seating surfaces are in truly beautiful condition showing virtually no signs of wear, or damage. The aft side of the seats is aluminum-like in appearance that coordinates extremely well with the GT Silver paint scheme. All carpeting is excellent as is the headliner and the sun visors. The padded dash is free from any flaws / imperfections. The upgraded factory 3-spoke steering wheel has a Porsche center crest. Both doors and both compartment lids open and close properly and with excellent fit and finish. Both sill plates bear the Cayman S logo. Both the front and rear compartments are neat and have excellent black carpeting. The front and rear compartments are in excellent condition showing no signs of damage and are originally configured with proper factory items / equipment. The underside of the car is remarkably clean, indicating virtually no inclement weather use. Similarly, the engine compartment is very tidy. MECHANICAL / SERVICE HISTORY Since the car was delivered to the local Bay area Porsche dealer, it was serviced by the Porsche dealer with the most recent service being completed by a German car specialist with over 25 years of Porsche experience. The car's second owner, a professional foreign car mechanic with over 35 years of experience and owner of his own foreign car business, performed the upgrades and completed minor service work (oil changes, etc.) in addition to those listed below. Needless to say, this Cayman "S” has been extremely well maintained both mechanically and from a cosmetic perspective. The Cayman is an absolute pleasure to drive and we find the mid-engine design results in handling that is superior to the 911 cars. Frankly, it will be very difficult to find an example with low, low miles, a desirable color, extensive options, limited ownership, and California lineage. The following work is documented in the file and on the CarFax report so that it will follow the car and provide future owners with documentation on the care that the car has received: Mileage Date Completed By: Work Performed 11miles 9/7/06 Sonnen Porsche - Pre-delivery inspection completed, - Battery/charging system checked, - Washed/detailed 20 miles 9/10/06 DMV - Title issued or updated, first owner reported - Titled or registered as personal vehicle 135 miles 9/20/06 Sonnen Porsche - Washed/detailed 3,974 miles 12/8/07 Sonnen Porsche - Maintenance inspection completed - Oil and filter changed - Tire condition and pressure checked 7,776 miles 3/4/09 Sonnen Porsche - 10,000 mile service preformed - Brake fluid flushed/changed 11,029 miles 12/9/09 Sonnen Porsche - Recommended maintenance performed - 20,000 mile service performed - Brake light bulb(s) replaced - Cooling system checked - Exterior lights checked - Front wiper blades/refills replaced - Wipers/washers checked 9/13/10 DMV - Registration updated when owner moved the vehicle to a new location 14,341 miles 9/24/10 Sonnen Porsche - Maintenance inspection completed - Oil and filter changed - Tire condition and pressure checked 15,185 miles 5/12/11 Sonnen Porsche - Serviced 19,866 miles 5/21/12 Sonnen Porsche - Maintenance inspection completed - Brake fluid flushed/changed - Cooling system checked - Exterior lights checked - Front brake pads replaced - Front brake rotor(s) replaced - Front brakes serviced - Light bulb(s) replaced - Oil and filter changed 25,116 miles 6/8/13 Sonnen Porsche - Maintenance inspection completed - Exterior lights checked - Light bulb(s) replaced - Oil and filter changed 26,657 miles 9/24/13 CA Inspection - Passed emissions inspection 29,255 miles 2/22/14 Sonnen Porsche - Airbag system checked - Body side molding(s) replaced - Cooling system checked - Tire pressure monitoring system checked 30,919 miles 4/30/15 Sonnen Porsche - Vehicle offered for sale 5/16/15 CA Inspection - Passed safety inspection - Passed emission inspection 30,989 miles 5/21/5 Sonnen Porsche - 30K mile service - Four tires balanced - Four tires mounted - Four tires replaced - Oil and filter changed - Safety inspection performed - Tire(s) replaced - Washed/detailed - Wiper(s) replaced - Emissions inspection performed 31,016 miles 5/21/15 Sonnen Porsche - Vehicle sold 6/15/15 DMV - Title issued or updated - New owner reported 32,373 miles 7/26/16 SAS German - Minor Service, Oil & Filter, Inspection DRIVABILITY Motor Trend Magazine paid tribute to the Cayman S by exclaiming: "In the Cayman S, Porsche has conceived and delivered a superb driving instrument. It's silly fun to drive; a hot-looking partner you'll enjoy on your first date and never tire of.” Treat yourself to this fine low mileage, professionally maintained California Cayman S. It has been adult owned, and professionally maintained. PORSCHE CAYMAN HISTORY The Porsche Boxster and Cayman are mid-engined two-seat sport compacts built by Porsche AG of Germany. The Boxster, or the roadster variant, first appeared in 1996. The Cayman first went on sale in late 2005 (model year 2006) as the coupe version and was designated a 987. The Cayman is derived from Porsche's second and third generation Boxster roadster. Like the Boxster, most Caymans were assembled in Finland by Valmet Automotive for Porsche. The name derives from the alternate spelling of caiman (an alligator-like reptile). The Cayman debuted at the September 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show as the Cayman S, which was equipped with a 3.4 L horizontally opposed six-cylinder 295 hp engine. The base model Cayman was introduced a year later, in July 2006. The 987-generation Cayman and Boxster are technically close relatives that share common front fenders, doors, headlights, tail lights, as well as the whole front part of the cab. Also, the suspension and the power train are closely related. The 987-generation Cayman production was discontinued in November 2011. These coupes handle better than just about anything due to the extra torsional rigidity provided by the roof. Virtually no over-steer or under-steer is evident when the car is thrown through a corner. The stock Cayman S is capable of 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds and reaching a top speed of 171 mph. The 6-speed manual transmission basically and overdrive in 5th and 6th gears at with respective gear ratios of 0.97 and 0.82. Classic Cars Ltd. 925-846-1451
