• This 1997 Porsche 911 Turbo S is a rare—one of 183 produced for the U.S. Market—and has been driven only 9,360 original miles. Formerly owned by professional tennis superstar Pete Sampras, this car has been sparingly used and religiously maintained. This particular car is a Turbo S and distinguishes itself from its Turbo sibling with a number of mechanical, exterior bodywork and interior trim differences that required it to be constructed at Porsche Exclusive, their in-house customization facility that builds both limited edition as well as bespoke customer cars. The engine has been upgraded with two larger K-24 turbo units, an additional oil cooler and remapping of the Motronic engine control management system to produce an additional 25 horsepower—425 versus 400. The visual clues on the exterior include large air scoops on the leading edge of the rear fenders to cool the incoming air charge, a European front spoiler with brake cooling ducts, an aero rear spoiler, quad round exhaust tips, and matte finish on the wheels and yellow colored brake calipers—in lieu of red. The interior receives a full leather treatment, even on the air vent louvers, and is fitted with carbon fiber accent pieces on the dash, side panels, center console, shift knob and emergency brake. The 993 generation of the Porsche 911 Turbo S were rare—with only 345 examples produced world wide—and expensive due to the labor intensive nature of the build and the high quality of the materials used. This Turbo S presents beautifully in the classic color combination of Black with Tan interior. The car has undergone a recent 2015 inspection and comes complete with an original bill of sale, full service records, original books, original tool kit, original tire inflator and extra keys.
