1973 Porsche 914 Base Description

I was fortunate enough to find this amazing one owner Arizona to Florida 914 at a charity auction. The previous owner had passed away and donated it to the charity (Salvation Army). The car had been sitting for a couple years but was in great shape overall and complete. 1973 is the most desirable year for a 2.0L 914. It produces the most amount of power and comes with all of the options as standard equipment including Fuchs wheels, A/C, fog lights, shift knob, and center console with gauges. After taking possession of the car, we removed the engine and transmission. The engine was professionally rebuilt at our local air-cooled Porsche specialist, PartsCo. The previous owner had converted the car to a dual webber carb setup that was powerful but hard to tune and cold natured. The pros at PartsCo. switched that out for a more reliable and easier to drive single barrel setup. The dual webber set-up is included in sale. Engine #GA004157 They also inspected the transmission, changed the fluid, and gave it a clean bill of health. We cleaned the sub-frame/engine bay and replaced the worn-out firewall insulation with a new modern one from Pelican Parts. We had a custom fabricated aluminum battery mount designed and built. The exhaust system was refinished and new battery installed. All of the grounds were cleaned and inspected. The CV axles were rebuilt by AAA Axle. The A/C system was serviced and professionally converted to R-134a. The A/C system works beautifully and blows cold. The front calipers were professionally rebuilt and the rear brakes have been inspected and given a clean bill of health. The headlights, stereo, windshield wipers, gauges, fans etc. all work properly. Being a dry weather car its whole life the body, subframes, and unibody were in terrific shape when we got the car. The doors opened and closed perfectly, even the paint was in decent shape. Even so we had the car professionally repainted at Beach Fender Mender. The car looks great in classic guards red. This Porsche drives beautifully!!! Please feel free to call me with any questions= 239-850-3721 Tom
