Here is the best part. the car is currently title under a Montana LLC... Montana have no sales tax or inspection requirement for LLC titled cars. (the process is very easy, and you do not need to bring the car to Montana to have your car register in MT) I will be happy to help the next buyer to set up MT LLC and continue to register this car in the state Montana. As I'm sure your home state will want to charge you a nice 6% tax for those new tags.
