1983 Porsche 928 S Description

The car passed California SMOG test (emission test) on 12-28-2015.

4-Speed automatic transmission shifts smooth. The engine has plenty of power. Timing belt and water pump replaced. It is currently registered in California DMV and registration fees paid until December 2016.

The engine cooling system is not functional. The engine output coolant hose to the radiator is hot, but the radiator is cool, that appears the coolant is not circulating to the radiator. No coolant leak, but engine will get hot soon after engine is running. The car did not get overheated and no damage to the engine.

Power window

Below are the minor problems it has:

I found the passenger side rear axle boot is cracked. I put my finger inside the boot and there were plenty of grease oil. And I filled up with grease oil until it’s full in the boot and wrapped with a rubber sheet. This is to protect the CV joint away from dust. You can see it in the picture.

The horn does not work, but when I press the born button on the steering wheel, I can hear there is a click sound, so I assume the horn button circuit works.

Washer fluid light is on, but windshield wiper washer works.

Odometer stopped at 129020 since I bought this car, I do not know actual mileage.

Driver side power seat and all buttons works good, but passenger power seat does not work.

Heater works, but A/C is not cold.

Transmission fluid leaks few drips when it is parked.

Cruise control does not work.

Power sunroof stay closed and does not work, but no leak.

Driver side power window stay closed and does not open. Passenger power window works.

The car can run few minutes until it gets too hot. You can test drive for few blocks near my home and test the good power.

Clear coat on the roof come off. Other paint is in good condition. As you see in the pictures, body is in good shape, no obvious dent, some small scratches exist, but it is not obvious unless you examine very close.

The interior is clean and good. Both seats’ lather has torn and covered with seat cover. Floor bottom carpet was replaced.

The vehicle is sold as is, since it has cooling problems, it is not operational until it is repaired.

There is no warranty, no refund after purchase. Buyer can bring experienced mechanic to inspect the vehicle before bidding.
