1988 Porsche 928 Description

88 928 s4. No problems. Needs nothing. Automatic. Cold ac. New tires. 134k miles now. $19500 in maintenance since 122k miles. Here is a recap of maintenance since 122k miles: 122k fuel pump 123k Timing belt, cap & rotors, new abs module, water pump. 125k transmission rebuild, alternator 134k (recent) Intake- flappy valve, maf rebuild, tps, icv, temp 1 &2, crank position (all Bosch) Ignition - modules (2), plug wires (beru), coil test Fuel - injector reseal and harness repair, ecu rebuild (replaced integrated circuit). Engine - oil & filter, cam cover gaskets, timing belt re-tension Steering - rebuilt original zf rack and pinion, aligned, boots, hose repair. A/C - all o-rings, hose repair, expansion valve, flush & recharge, rebuilt controls, no vacuum leaks. Transmission - drain and fill, no vacuum leaks. Cooling system- aftermarket aluminum radiator, fan motor rebuild, ecu & amp refurbish, themostat. Torque tube- no noises, flex plate and clamp adjustment, crank end play within spec. Muffler delete, mild but aggressive sound. As you can see, the car has been gone through from end to end and all common weak spots for 928's have been addressed. It is mechanically sound and dependable. The interior is lightly worn for its age but all there and well intact. Nothing loose. Dash has common cracks. Seats could use a re- dye but are in good shape. I kind of prefer the mild patina myself, similar to a well used, but comfortable leather jacket. Carpet is very clean, slightly worn, mild spots here and there. Driver side needs a new floor mat. Paint is nice with no significant flaws. Body is straight. Bumpers have been refurbished recently. Everything works. All lights, switches, etc. Even the rear hatch releases work! Tires are as new. Front bearings recently repacked. Brakes and sensors cleaned. Pads at least 90%. The car runs, drives, shifts perfect. I have either receipts or old parts to prove all work done. I am a former professional MB/BMW tech. This is the third 928 I have owned and refurbished.
