Nice 2015 Eco-Diesel Crew Cab Ram w/ EXTRAS. Leather, GDE TUNE, 2/4 drop & more
2015 Ram 1500 Lone Star Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door Description
UPDATE 1/30/16- Today at 29,851 miles I changed the fuel filter, oil and oil filter. A few days ago I got my first flat in this truck, so now the spare has been on the ground(but most of the nipples are still intact). It was a good size hole in the center of the tread, and the tire shop I went to had a good used tire that was an exact match to whats on there(the original tires), so I just bought that instead of patching the damaged one. During all of this I took a better look at all of the tires, and they are in better condition than I described below, email or text me and Ill be happy to send you pictures. I also bought a set of 265/60r20lt tires off craigslistthat were taken off of a 2015 Chevy truck to run mud tires, and will include those for free if you want them. And I lowered the asking price by $1000!
Up for sale is my very nice, well kept, nicely optioned, fuel efficient Eco Diesel Ram with some quality extras that improve the already strong points on this truck. It has just under 30,000 miles on it, but I am still daily driving the truck, so that will rise, call me if you need to know the exact mileage at a given time. I had planned on keeping this truck for a very very long time, so I spent a good chunk of money on some nice upgrades for this truck, in addition to me taking great care of the truck(by doing proper maintenance, and not abusing it). Its saved me hundreds of dollars a month in fuel over other comparable trucks, but I'm wanting to free up some money for a growing family and growing my side business, so here it is for sale. This truck has never been wrecked, or had any mechanical problems.
Its a 2015 Ram 1500, 2wd, Lone Star Package SLT with:
-3.0L Eco Diesel
-LEATHER & power seat
-The big 8.4 uconnect touch screen control panel/nav(big improvement over the 5")
-Heated & power folding mirrors
-Remote Start
-Power rear window
-OEM Spray in bed liner
-Towing package(w/ reciever hitch & lights, but not the towing mirrors/trailer brake controller package)
-20" wheels
-3.55 gears w/ the optional LIMITED SLIP(helpful on the boat ramp, or other low traction enviroments, I wouldnt own a 2wd truck w/o a limited slip rear)
-Tinted windows
And a long list of other things Im probably forgetting.
NOW, FOR THE AFTERMARKET GOODIES... I daily drive this truck(mostly highway miles), frequently haul motorcycles, occasionally haul light weight trailers(motorcycle trailer, my small boat), and use it as a family vehicle, so I geared my modifications towards improving the truck for those purposes. I did not want anything super flashy, or that would negatively effect the reliability, function, or MPGS that I bought this truck for. So here is what I did:
-GREEN DIESEL ENGINEERING TUNE- See the GDE site for all of the details, and other forums for reviews. Although it does increase HP and Torque, this is not a race tune. Simply put this tune does things no plug and play tuners can do, and adds efficiency(3-5mpg), drive-ability, reliability and longevity(cleaner running) than other ECM tunes. From smoothing out your cruise control, minimizing your regen-cycles and DEF fluid consumption, reduces EGTs, and more all while adding a little power too! Again, if you are not familiarwith this tune, please do your research, and I even recommendcalling GDE, as they have great customer service, and they can modify this tune with more extra options, such as a turbo braking(acts like an exhaust brake for towing), full delete, and more, that can be added to this ECM tune for a minimal extra cost(a basic re-flash fee, plus the upcharge for what ever extras you want added). This tune claims to be very minimally detectable, a with no risks of causing damage, which are claims supported by great feedback from their customers, so it should not effect your warranty; but I personally still wouldn'trecommend telling your dealer its been tuned. Also, if your dealer happens to reflash your ECM, say in the case of some sort ofsoftware update, GDE will reflash your tune for only $50, instead of the $750 that the tune cost up front...
-Mcgaughys 2/4 Deluxe drop (Leveling/Lowering) kit. I lowered this truck the right way, with spindles in the front, and springs, bump stops, and track bar relocates bracket in the rear, then had it all professionally aligned. This makes loading and unloading the truck much easier(specially when your talking about full size motorcycles in the bed, but it even makes the car seat easier to get in and out), improves the road handling while retaining stock ride, gives it a sportier look, and theoretically it may improve the aerodynamics just a hair(although probably not a noticeable difference). In my opinion it sits the way a 2wd truck set up for on road use should sit, it does not look slammed... I also installed air lift bags in the rear coils(the correct bag height for the lowering coils), and ran the valve to the inside of the fuel door; this allows you to load the bed up, or haul a heavier trailer, without the rear squatting, so it still looks and rides right... I did save the stock spindles if you ever wanted to raise it back up to stock or lift it, but did not save the rear coils(easy and cheep to get, in any ride height). The front will rub just a tiny bit with the wheel turned all the way, but its nothing that has put any extra wear on the tires, or where it rubs(its just enough to lightlyhear it in the truck, it never makes a "digging in" or "grinding" sound). Its also worth noting that this truck has never been off roaded, and has probably seen very very few dirt roads, nor has it seen much winter weather/salty roads.
-AFE Intake, the main thing I noticed with this was more turbo sound(which I like, but they offer a cover to silence it if you prefer), and a slight performance bump. This should in theory increase the MPGs a little bit too, but I did this at the same time as the tune and exhaust, so its hard to tell.
-MBRP dual filter back exhaust. The motor is still shockingly quiet(this made very little difference in sound over the stock set up), and since I did it in conjunction with other mods(all at the same), the performance and economy gains are hard to tell, but at very least it probably saved 40 over the heavy stock mufflers, plus the tips look better than stock.
-BakFlip 2g tri-fold tonneau cover. Protects stuff in your bed, and improves aerodynamics, and folds up against the back window when you need to haul larger things, and easily comes all the way off by removing 2 large plastic wing nuts. Id say it keeps the bed about 98% dry, I wouldn'tstore historic photos back there in a heavy rain, but I wouldn'thave a problem driving to a wedding with a suit case of dress clothes back there. With a little extra weather stripping/sealer it could be sealed up all the way.
The paint and body are in great shape. There are no dents, dings, repaints, crash repairs, or anything like that.
The interior is very nice with no stains, rips, tears, or excessive wear. The passenger front window tint does have one very small scratch in it(just in the tint on the inside, and its not very noticeable). This truck has never been smoked in, never had a drink spilled in it, or anything like that. I have used a leather specific conditioner every few months to keep the leather in top notch shape.
Mechanically the truck is in great shape, I have never had one single problem out of it, no warranty work, or anything like that. I have maintained the truck as directed by the manual, and have only used the correct spec Mobil 1 EPS full synthetic(runs about $10/qt). I do have some extra oil filters, as well as roughly 15q of the Mobil one EPS oil. I also have a new fuel filter, and the upgraded fuel filter drain plug and bullet aluminum wrench from Geno Garage. The oil change, and fuel filter change are coming up(in about 800mi), so I will go ahead and do those for the buyer, even if it does not reach 30k on the odo.
The truck has the original tires and wheels on it(and the spare has never been on the ground). The tires still have some tread, but in all reality are at or near the end of their life span based on tread depth in a few areas. The tires have been wearing very evenly, so much so that I have not had them rotated in probably over 20k miles, and the uneven wear on the outside of the front tires is from driving it to the alignment shop after I lowered it, it has not continued to wear excessively. I frequently see new or like new factory take off sets(wheels and tires) for $600-800, but rather than buying a new set of tires and raising the price, I thought it better to keep the price lower, that way the buyer can pick whatever tires(and possibly wheels too) that look and perform exactly the way they want.
I am the second owner on the truck, and have had it over a year. The original owner paid cash for it, and shortly after got offered a company truck, so I bought this truck from him with roughly 4,500 miles on it.I am NOT interested in low ball offers. I do have a pay off at my local credit union(they keep the title in house, so if you show up ready to buy it, they can put the clean title in your hand the same day as long funds are cleared). I may consider partial trades(only UNDER 10k trade value) for an SUV or 4 door truck, motorcycles, hot rods, classic cars or classic trucks. I highly encourage you to inspect the truck in person and test drive it prior to bidding, but I understand that's not always an option. As you can see by my feedback I am an honest reputable seller(mostly motorcycle and hot rod parts) and known for providing accurate descriptions. With that said, I am only human, and descriptions on any used item are subjective, which is why I want you to come check the truck out in person first, and require a non-refundable deposit within 48hrs of the auction close. PLACING A BID OR MAKING AN OFFER ON THIS LISTING IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT, not a way to "test the water", kick the tires, or humor yourself. Doing so costs me time and money, and is unfair to other potential buyers; and I will file a non-paying bidder complaint, and leave feedback accordingly. If your just curious and want to check out the truck Im happy to take the time to show it to you, but bidding or making a formal offer here first first is not how to achievethat. Call or text me any time between 10-10p on my cell at 972-989-4003 for any questions or to schedule a time to check it out and test drive it. The truck is located in McKinney, TX(75070), and the title is at my Credit Union in Sherman, TX. Local pickup is highly preferred, but I am willing to assist with shipping, or possibly even deliverit, but any shipping or deliveryarrangementsMUST BE MADE BEFORE BIDDING.
