1986 Rolls-Royce Other Description
We purchased this R.R., in May, 2004 as our Birthday gift. It was purchased, from the famed Gullwing Motors in N.Y.C. From 1920 thru 1928, my Grandfather worked at the R.R., plant in Springfield, Mass. They produced 3,000 units. The military turn it to an artillery plant. My Grandfather open up a repair shop. In short I've been around them most of my young life. This a good car, but due too my accident I haven't been physically able to take care any of our automobiles. There are somethings, that needs attention, power steering pump, a.c., need recharged none of that pr10 nor r134, a thermostat sticks when they sit to long. The engine is very good, always pass emission, hydraulics system good. Tires are good, and brakes. The front brakes has 2 calipers for each wheel, 1 per each rear wheel. All brakes pads are very to change. The units in there are 90%. Tire thread is about 87%. All the windows works, The sun has destroyed, some of the leathers, top bash, rear deck, all easy to replace. Here is the big secrets most of the parts are GMC, A.C. DELCO. When I had to change a part, I took it off. Went to our recycle part shop and matched it up. This is an old school auto, use timing light for tuning. No high end electronics, nor computer. The driver side door can use a little paint touch up. The rear left roof, was hit by a tree branch during a storm. Shortly after that, I had my back surgery. It's an easy fix, just surface. When we purchased it, Peter said, enjoy and have fun with after all, it's still a R.R. regardless of condition. If you have any questions please email me, and thanks...THIS IS A NON RESERVE AUCTION...
On Sep-15-16 at 10:59:33 PDT, seller added the following information:The brakes are 95%, as well as tires. There are no leaks at all. If you put power steering, it will leak out, as I mention need attention. It can be rebuild, change coil and that's it. This is a truck engine, solid parts inside capable of a million mile. The unit, uses 15/40 fleet oil. It's about $17.00 a liter at Walmart, and change stores. If you can turn a wrench, you will not have a problem serving this unit for years. As I stated before, I've been around these automobiles. This isn't my first R.R., but this was the one my kids love the most.
