1974 MG MGB B Description

1974 MGB Convertible Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton. Located in PORTLAND, OREGON Sold new by British Motor Cars (BMC) of Portland, Oregon in 1974, this MGB was sparingly used and always maintained, remaining with the original owner from 1974 to 2013. It is now showing just over 20,200 actual miles on its odometer. In 2013 it was re-acquired by the former owner of BMC Portland and became part of his personal collection. It is now being made available. The paint, trim, interior and top are all ORIGINAL and unrestored. No accidents or damage. COMPLETELY RUST-FREE. Always garaged. Paint is bright and shiny with no cracks or bubbling. It is beautifully preserved throughout. Original undercoating. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS. The 1799 cc 4 cylinder engine and 4-speed transmission are also original. I have personally driven this car and it runs and drives without fault, as would be expected of a 20,000 mile car that has been impeccably maintained for the past 42 years. PLEASE SEE VIDEO OF ENGINE RUNNING. All gauges and accessories and lights work. Other than the new radial tires installed recently, and the refreshed original wire wheels, all components are as they left the factory in 1974. Includes original top boot and zippered tonneau. There is little to add. If you are looking for what is arguably the finest original MGB available today, this is it. A realistic reserve has been placed on this car in keeping with its condition and LOW, ORIGINAL MILEAGE. Please bid accordingly. The saying "They're only original once," really is true in this case and cannot be duplicated by any restored car at any price. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS WORLDWIDE.
