You are bidding on an original 1966 MGB, Roadster, chrome bumpers, wire wheels 5 main bearing, 1.8L, 4 cylinder. I purchased this car in 1972 and had the entire body restored -- new front and rear fenders, chrome trim, grill, rocker panels and new paint job including door jams, trunk and motor compartment. Inside of fenders and rocker panels were undercoated to eliminate rust.Original black leather seats with white piping. Original Smith gauges.Walnut steering wheel. Many engine parts are chrome – Rocker Arm Cover, generator, dip stick, fan and pulleys, PCV, gooseneck, carburetor heat shield and more.I garaged this car in 1980 after the transmission got noisy.I purchased a replacement transmission and never found the time to install it – replacement transmission available separately.
Spare parts include, full factory exhaust system, three extra wire wheels, leather top and hardware and factory service manual.
This car is a very good choice for restoration project.I’ve not started this car for a number of years but the motor still turns by hand. Body is in very goodcondition, onesmall dent, barely visible, on right rear quarter panel, paint is chipped on the front fender -- pictured -- some scratches throughout.Paint is glossy although some pitting and cracks are visible on close inspection. Minor surface rust in some locations. The driver’s side floor board needs to be replaced.
This car has a clear title in hand.
