1980 MG MGB Description

1980 Limited edition MGB. This is a very well cared Limited edition MGB. I am the second owner (purchased in 1988). Since 1988, this car has been garaged and never driven in the winter. In 1988 the odometer reading was 78,265 miles and now is 101,100 miles (only 22,736 mile in the last 26 years). It was displayed at the 2006 Fairfield County Concours d' Elegance (Connecticut). The body is in excellent condition with a small scratch on the passenger door (photo).The engine is very good mechanically, and runs strong. It has a Webber downdraft carburetor. The brakes, tires, and alternator have recently been replaced. Shifting into first or reverse from a standstill can be difficult at times. It is something I have gotten used to and have driven it that way for 30 years. Shifting is easy when the car is rolling or shifting into first or reverse before starting the car. The driver's side seat has a rip in the upholstery and shows wear (photo). Though difficult to sell, I have decided to do so because I don't drive it much anymore or find the enjoyment of working on it as I once did. A very fun car to drive that runs great.
