2001 Saab Viggen -- 78,900 miles, 3 year old top, new tires, adult owned/driven
2001 Saab 9-3 Description
A recent job offer has caused me to clean out the garage/yard...this sale will need to be completed by Friday, 9/16, whenever title/tag notary closes (likely 8 PM locally). For out-of-state bidders, I can transfer title to your name if you are having the car shipped. Please email me if you are considering this! Car is for sale locally as well as Ebay.
3rd owner, always owned by Saab enthusiasts/professionals. Between myself and the prior owners our stable has included multiple classic 900s, a 1994 9000 CSE, a 2011 9-5, and another Viggen. My daily driver is a '99 9-5 SE. Professionally maintained at Pederson Automotive in Skokie, IL and Euro Motors in Harrisburg, PA.
This garage-kept Viggen has just over 78,900 miles. It is steel gray, with a black interior. Upgrades include the "Viggen" plate on the shifter knob, and the leather parking-brake boot. New brake pads all around (Akebono Euro ceramics in front, AC Delco OEMs in rear) and new Brembo rear rotors. It needs front rotors, and I have new, in box Brembos included in the sale. Recent (6/16) PA inspection, at which time I had the fuel filter replaced with a Mahle filter. New Mahle cabin air and air intake filters as well. Synthetic oil since new, 93 octane fuel at all times. Pulled the valve cover recently and everything is clean and lovely underneath. Victor Reinz valve cover gasket. PCV #6 installed.
Everything works as it should, including the roof, which was replaced 3 years ago. Practically new Toyo Proxes4 on original wheels, with typical Viggen/Saab wear. All rims are straight, however, and do their job. All jack point covers present. Typical 9-3 issues with dead pixels (see pics). Climate Control Unit was serviced 3 years ago but already has a dead pixel for the temperature readout. SID has multiple dead ones.
Someone blessed me with a parking lot tag on the rear bumper (see pic). No cracking, just scrapes, and it might buff out. This happened in the past month. I am including OEM Saab touch-up paint and clear coat with the sale. The car has never been driven in winter, and lived in my garage until a month ago. It has had a UV cover on the windshield since moving outside.
I got this Viggen back in April with plans of keeping it forever - it's that nice. Only selling because I picked up an '02 Viggen with 38k miles that is like-new showroom quality, and I simply can't justify two convertibles in my life right now - also, this car deserves to be in a garage and I don't have room...
