2003 Saab 9-3 SE Convertible 2-Door Description

Ready to GO!! Fun. Reliable. LOW Mileage. Beautiful blue. Awesome Tan Leather interior. No issues. Read on...

Exterior is an easy 8 out of 10. Only a handful of dings to be found, all dentbusted if desired. 2 teeny tiny rust bubbles were found while cleaning the car...see below pics. There are some signs of minor repaint, but everything matches well with no signs of any former body damages. The paint shines beautifully but to put it in the 9 out of 10 range, a total buff would make sense. Chips, scratches and nicks are typical but nothing to point out as an eyesore. Below you can see the matching Bridgestone tires ride on super duper clean rims that are damage and vibration free at any speeds. Probably about the ONLY thing that will need replacing soon are the front tires. Pretty worn. Rears have plenty of tread left but show a bit of cupping on the inside areas. Fortunately no obnoxious road noises. Unseen are the recently replaced brake pads on vibration/grind free rotors, ready to stop on a dime if needed. Wiggles and jiggles on the suspension while jacked up reveal tight suspension joints and drivetrain components with no pops, squeaks or rattles to make a scene about. Car drives straight and smooth over any pavements with no unusual pulling or wandering. I would happily drive this car on my next out of state roadtrip.

Hood shines like a mirror as you can see above!! Top appears to be damage free with no noticeable leaks (no wet spots or musty smell inside), cuts, tears or repairs. Operates perfectly. Again...see below for shots of top operations.

Get down on your hands and knees and MAYBE you will discover some bumper tag scuffs and scratches. A proper buffing compound will easily remove 90% of 'em. Here I could see signs of front and rear bumper repaint (DOT tag on front for example). Not a bad thing since the previous owners chose to care for the car, instead of leave it.

Worst of the scuffs are seen above corner area. Below you can see the teeny tiny (smaller than a dime) rust bubble.

Onto the 8+ out of 10 interior! Naturally there are minimal leather cracks and a small left heel puncture in the driver's carpet, BUT...no worn steering wheel or shifter. Driver's bolster looks great. ALL the buttons and switches look great with little or no wear. See for yourself!!

I HATE smoke and can't see or smell any signs of a former smoker. Minimal carpet stains. Dashboard is perfect. A tad fading on the center console, but I'm nitpicking here...tis a convertible after all. As you can see, ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with NONE staying on during run. I have personally logged about 100 miles on this car to ensure it's reliability. "CHECK OK" displays every time you start the car. ALL the power items work as they should from what I could tell: power windows (including ALL 4 up/down switch), power locks, power trunk, steering wheel controls for radio and cruise control, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, HOT HEAT, digital climate control, ABS, Traction Control, Power Top both ways, AM/FM/CD player, OnStar, Info Panel (no dead pixels), Sport and Winter modes on transmission, Heated Power Front Seating, Power mirrors, AND.....I didn't show it, but the CUP HOLDER FLIPS OUT as it should!!! That's as good as a trunk full of Gold Bullion right there!

The "other" rust bubble that I found....driver's pillar...about the size of a quarter and it's NOT crusty. Below, a full set of nice floormats are included along with the rear license plate frame ready to bolt on and go! Unseen is the complete factory spare setup aired up ready to roadtrip home.

Doorpanels and rear side panels look great. No damages with only a couple edge nicks most likely a fight with the seatbelt trying to stay out of the car. Below, factory compliment of manuals are intact along with ONE factory Key/Keyfob that works properly.

All the exterior illumination works as it should, as you can see. The engine compartment is nice and clean. No shiesty shine here, atho a few water spots and flaked paint off the valve cover shows it's age. Engine fires right up with recently replaced Duralast battery. Saab engines weren't the quiet motor on the block but this one doesn't follow suit. No knocks, taps or unusual noises. Exhaust is normal. Turbo functions properly and pulls hard when you call for it. Transmission shifts thru every gear as it should with no issues. Underneath you will find a nice tidy dry area with no signs of a major oil or coolant leak. No spots on my shop floor overnight. No overheating. Oil and coolant is clean with many many more miles to go! 106,xxx miles is still a baby!! Below pictures you can see the top in it's FULL operation. NOTE the pumps have ZERO leaks on either side. No, I didn't spray clean them before snapping the shots, they truly don't leak and operate flawlessly.Inspect my excellent feedbacks!
