2008 Saab 9-3 2.0T Sedan 4-Door Description
I am relisting this car as the previous buyer never showed up to pick up the car on the scheduled date.
You are buying a 2008 Saab 9-3 2.0T. I have had this car for the last 7 years and it has been awesome. My reason for selling is that I just upgraded to a new car and no longer need the Saab. In an effort to save you and I a bunch of time, I thought it would be most beneficial to start by listing the issues the car has so we can get that out of the way first.
Front Bumper has chipped paint all over. The previous owner had the bumper repainted as it was a city car and had lots of little dings and scratches. Unfortunately, they hired the worst body shop on the planet and the paint is chipping all over it as shown in the photos. It is only on the bumper, not on the quarter panels.Rear Bumper- Dented on the side from where I was rear ended by a tractor trailer that decided to drive away rather than stop. We were in traffic and we're traveling at 2-3mph so it did not cause any damage aside from the dent in the bumper. Also, I think the same body shop painted the rear bumper as this has a chipped area too which is shown in the photo.Overall body, most of it is in very good shape. There is a ding in the drivers side rear door where some nice person at the grocery store decided to put a dime size dent and not bother to take responsibility for it. There are also scratches on the drivers side door where my 4 year old hit the door with his toy rake. Both issues shown in photos.Interior: Drivers seat shows signs of wear and so do the floor mats. Rear seat behind driver has a rip where I accidentally caught a pair of garden shears on it. Not big, but it is there and is shown in photos. Otherwise interior is fine. (Smoke/Pet free)Brakes: Rear pads and rotors need to be replaced. The car passed inspection last week but it was suggested that these be replaced in next couple months (depending on how much you drive). You can buy the parts on amazon for less than $200.00. Also, the front drivers side brake caliper may need to be cleaned. Occasionally the brake will make noise and I believe it is from the brake piston not retracting properly (totally a guess as I am not a mechanic, but it seems logical).Key fobs: I have two, the buttons on both have worn off. They still work but should be replaced. Probably cost around $100.00There is a crack in the plastic motor cover. It could probably be replaced for $50 bucks but not it is not necessary. I just noticed it today and it has no function mechanically. It is just there to make the engine look pretty.Onto the good stuff: This is a great car that still runs great. I drive it to Boston every day for work and have never had any mechanical issues with it. It always starts right up in the morning and it still feels pretty tight for a 9 year old car. The tires have a lot of tread on them and the car was inspected, oil changed and tires rotated in the last week. This would be a great first car for a kid or for someone looking for a low cost commuter. It's great on gas and is fun to drive. Please review my feedback prior to buying. I have listed every known issue with the car, it is sold as is and does not have a warranty. For a few hundred bucks and some elbow grease, you could have a nice car. I am not interested in negotiating price after the sale so if you have questions or would like to check it out, feel free to message me. Clean Title in hand. This car is located in Northborough, MA. I am available in the evenings during the week if you would like to come by and look at it. I am also available during the daytime during the weekends. A non-refundable $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of purchase using PayPal. The rest is due in cash at pickup. As mentioned before, if you have questions, feel free to message me or come by in-person to inspect the car.
